Because of the shape and thickness of the handle, they can comfortably hold them. The only drawback is that the plastic handle has a cheap feel to it. Very low cost. I understand it's a good deal, and I assume the poor quality of the handle has no bearing on the painting. It's just that I was expecting it to have a heavier tone to it. I was under the impression that they were made of wood. They appeared to be that way in the photo, and Melissa and Doug have everything made of wood. Although, because they might get wet, I suppose wood wouldn't be a good choice. I'm not sure what I'm saying. Overall, I would recommend them, but don't expect the high-quality handles that Melissa and Doug are known for.
When my daughter was two years old, I bought her these paint brushes. The bulb- Baby and toddlers who can't properly grip a regular paintbrush will benefit from these handles. They're just the right size for their tiny hands to grasp. They're available in four colors (red, yellow, blue, and green), but they're all made with the same brush. The brush has a thick tip, which is ideal for small children. My daughter had a set of four watercolors in the same four colors, so I taught her to use the green brush when she wanted green paint, the blue brush when she wanted blue paint, and so on, because she was too young to know to rinse her brush before dipping it in another color, mixing colors accidentally. Now that she's three, she knows how to grip paintbrushes and pencils correctly, so we don't use these any longer. Her two-year-old son will receive them. year- cousin who is quite old. We've had these brushes for a year and they've held up well. They have never caused me any issues. There are no cracks or breaks in the handles. The brush hairs have not broken or fallen out. They've gotten a lot of the paint out of them. When there is paint on the brushes, you can stand them up on their ends to keep the table clean. In addition, it prevents them from rolling away. We used these brushes with Crayola watercolors and paints, and they worked perfectly with those products.
The handles, according to one reviewer, are "cheap, light, and plastic. " I thought these brushes were ideal. They felt light and plastic to me, but not any less so than any other plastic. These brushes are balanced so that the brush end is the heaviest, which is ideal if you're working with paint pots or some other type of paint cup. A handle-heavy brush would cause the paint cup to tip over with the leak-proof lid type cups. These are ideal for young children who lack the motor skills required to use a brush with a thin pencil grip. If my opinion changes after using these several times, I will update this review.
One brush should be used and washed after each use. This is a complete and utter waste of time. ALL OF THE HAIR FELL OUT AFTER ONE BRUSH WAS USED AND WASHED. AT THE SAME TIME. I'm not even joking when I say that. I don't think I've ever given anything less than five stars. This is completely ridiculous and of poor quality. I couldn't be more dissatisfied.
Even at the age of one, my LO finds it simple to grasp. WASHABLE AND EASY TO USE! Haha! The bristles pick up the paint so well that a single dip in the paint lasts a long time on paper, and I was most concerned about that. In addition, I enjoy the smoothness of the wood. Another bonus is that the case it comes in doubles as a storage container for the brushes, so once I've washed and dried them, I simply return them to their original packaging. When I get them out again, they always look brand new:.
The fact that the handles are brightly colored is also a plus. She matches the paints she uses to the brushes, which is a fun educational activity. br>She isn't the only one who enjoys the brushes-- I love how simple it is to clean them! Even if I don't wash them right away, the paint peels off so easily. It makes cleaning up paint a lot easier, and it dries quickly as well. br>A wonderful present for any young child! I'm looking forward to trying some of Melissa's other recipes. Products made by Doug.
only in black - Our one-year-old is enamored with it (it washes up nicely and dries quickly). She enjoys carrying them around the house because they are easy to clean and hold. I haven't seen much shedding yet, but I expect it to happen eventually. It's not a big deal; anything for a few minutes of peace is worth it!.
