Questions & Answers
They are no longer manufactured. They suggested that we make a template out of the missing letter and then make a cardboard replacement when I called.
1 open wooden box with 2 compartments, one with a small space for 63 low case wooden multiple color letters and the other with a large space for 8 puzzle letters and picture boards on both sides.
No, my letters and boards didn't come with a cover to keep them safe.
My three-and-a-half-year-old loves it. In terms of introduction, I'd stay around that age range. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.

Melissa is one of my favorites. I'm sorry to have to write this review about Doug's products. I just got this puzzle, and there's a duplicate board on top of it. I'm glad they did that because I would have warped it for Christmas if I hadn't known, and I wouldn't have wanted to deal with returning it after it had been opened. br>Because I've always trusted their products, I didn't even think to check the reviews. However, after noticing the extra board, I decided to read the reviews. This puzzle appears to have a number of issues, for example; incorrect picture words, duplicate boards, insufficient letters, and letters that do not fit.
I was disappointed that some of the pictures did not match the word, and that they were displayed on the wrong side of the screen.
First and foremost, let me state that this puzzle is a huge hit with my daughter. She engages in a great deal of experimentation with it. However, finding a picture of a pig next to the word cow and a picture of a cow next to the word pig disappointed me greatly. This can be perplexing for children who are just learning to read and write. Overall, I would recommend this product, but make sure to double-check the information.
This is a fantastic multi-player game. Colors, letters, and spelling are all covered by this educational toy. I took away a couple of stars because they clearly don't pay attention to detail when creating these. On one of the boards, the pictures and words on both sides are mismatched. Hopefully, we'll be able to persuade my nephew. That big yellow ball in the sky doesn't have the letter n in its name.
The product itself is superior, so I gave it four stars. I enjoy sitting with my son and putting letters together to make words. As a result, unless you purchase another bag or use a ziploc bag, there is no way to store all of the small letters. Better packaging would include a method of storing the pieces, as well as a lid.
We were given two of the same words, pig and cow, instead of eight double-sided spelling boards with 16 different words to spell. As a result, we only have to spell 14 different words. br>I've purchased a number of Melissa and Doug toys over the years and have never had a problem with any of them until now. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence with this item. br>This educational toy is a hit with my 3-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter. It would have been appropriate if I had purchased it a year ago. I'm not sure why it's rated for children under the age of four. br>I agree that the "storage box" is poorly designed, as have others. The box is almost useless without a top. This would be a significant issue for most children! Thankfully, I taught my granddaughter to replace items in their assigned spaces, which she does at least 75 percent of the time; however, most children will require the purchase of a storage box to keep these organized.
I was really looking forward to getting this for our little one, but I was disappointed to discover that we were missing a board and instead received a duplicate. Melissa is one of our favorite people. I didn't think to read the reviews for Doug products like I would for other items, so I skipped over them. What a disappointment, and what a waste of $18. After reading the reviews, it appears that others have experienced similar problems, and this would be an excellent product if all of the items were included.
I've bought a few things from Melissa and Doug, and this is the first one that has disappointed me. This is explained in the attached video. When I attempted to contact the company, I was unsuccessful. This was a birthday present for my 3-year-old grandson, who was visiting us from out of state. He was having a lot of fun matching the letters to the picture until we got to the cow with the word duck on it. Even better, turn it around! This company appears to need to improve its quality control.
