The red fish's colors and the red fish's space aren't the same. Orange is the same way. The lighting is incorrect. This, understandably, leads to a great deal of perplexity. For the red fish, the color of the orange fish is more similar to the color of the space. The most obvious quality control for a toy meant to teach colors and matching seems to be that the colors are the same.

The red hole color is still the same as the orange fish, which is very confusing for small children (as other reviewers have noted. ) Melissa Doug's quality control is slipping; this should never have gone unnoticed, and they should be monitoring their reviews as a backup to catch things like this. I guess success has ruined their customer service; I'll be hesitant to buy from this company again.

These big, brightly colored puzzle pieces come apart; they're great for a toddler, but they're not very durable. My two-year-old enjoys throwing, and when he throws these, they chip quite a bit. Every single piece is missing large chunks of it. I had purchased another puzzle that was similar to this one but featured farm animals, and that one never chipped when tossed around. I just wish that when making these for toddlers, durability had been taken into consideration.

This is the second time I've bought this puzzle. It's always been one of my top picks for toddler gifts. Little fingers will enjoy manipulating the chunky pieces. To aid in matching and learning how to solve puzzles, each fish is duplicated in their respective spaces. Of course, it's ideal for teaching colors. With knobs that are securely glued in place, picking up pieces is a breeze. This is a fantastic puzzle for beginners. I was taken aback by the drastic cost increase.

The fish are a good size and weight for small hands to handle, and the depth of the board spaces makes it easy to slide them in without overcorrecting. Many other puzzles are shallower, so the pieces don't thunk into place as satisfyingly, and my toddler keeps fiddling with them. The fish can also be stacked because they are thick enough to balance on their edges. The only issue is that the paint rubs off when cleaned, and the corners are beginning to show wear after a few months of heavy toddler use, but they are still one of the most popular toys. The colors are still vibrant, and I'm going to try sealing them between cleanings with beeswax.

This puzzle is one of my favorites! I was going to buy the other Melissa and Doug color fish puzzle, but after reading reviews, I realized that all of the fish are the same size and shape, so a child could put it anywhere and it would appear correct. br>br>With this puzzle, each fish is a different shape and size, and the colors are vibrant and the illustration is cute. My 18-month-old son is completely enthralled by the fact that they're all facing in the direction of a heart!.

This puzzle is extremely durable, withstanding play, drooling, and throwing by babies and toddlers. Little hands will have no trouble holding and maneuvering the shapes into place. The only strange thing is that the colors don't all match perfectly; most are close, but a few are several shades off. Despite the differences, my toddler can still match them up.

This puzzle is a hit with my 18-month-old son. She's learning colors, so this is a great opportunity for her to practice matching. The fish are made of a dense, durable wood. I don't think the board will last long because it's made of particle board/cardboard. But I adore the fish, and I admire how much she enjoys matching and trying to figure out what colors I'm looking for. If you're looking for a unique gift for a young family member or friend, this is a great option!.
