Is this compatible with the Leapfrog Leapstart program?

I'm not certain, but I doubt it. Simply comparing the two systems, one uses spiral bound books at the top and the other uses books bound on the left.

Is the cartridge included in the package?

There is no cartridge listed in the "My First Leappad" booklet. It's just the booklet. Thank you very much for your query.

Is this program compatible with the LeapPad 2?

No, the Leap Pad 2 and LeapFrog's My First LeapPad Educational Book are not compatible.

If you want to use the accompanying sound cartridge, you'll need to buy or own the original player, which is no longer available. Because I didn't pay attention when looking up this book, I now only use the book and have discarded the cartridge. If you already own the original player, this isn't an issue, and the book is worth something even if you don't have the cartridge.
