Set is decent, but I will say this again. As you would expect, you will get what you pay When my son was trying to push the train, the wooden tracks didn't tightly lock together. Please be aware that we already have another set from an entirely different brand from this one (Melissa & Co. Unlike Doug), there is no way to compare. It is always a possibility to switch to another brand, even if it is more expensive, if the quality of the product is better. Plus, all of our products are compatible with other brands. It comes with assembly instructions that must be followed by an adult. For children under the age of eight, this is not a suitable set. **NEUTRAL**

I am disappointed. There are too many instances when the train runs off the tracks. The wheels on the train wobble around and fall off of the track because the train isn't designed correctly. Though the paint and wood are good quality, the wheels and tracks should have been designed better.

There are tracks, trains, and buildings that you can add. Other train sets, such as Brio, can be used with it. Whenever there is a birthday or Christmas, add it to the list. The kids played with it until they were 10 or 11 years old and were able to create complex track layouts. It is a good investment because you can keep it for future generations.

The nub at the end of a piece of track was broken when the box was opened on Christmas morning. Likewise, an additional piece of track had a piece of wood broken off of it. When it comes to returning things, especially when my two year old likes all the other features of this train set, it can be frustrating. EDIT
SainSmart offered me a replacement because we had a few broken parts after I reviewed the item. I am extremely pleased with the quality of customer service. My son loves his train and plays with it multiple times a day.
