Track alignments are not always as consistent as they should be. In any case, these are a good set regardless of price and even without the extras! Due to this, I believe that we will continue to rely on the tried and true.

These tracks do not fit well with our existing "compatible" tracks (2) What's worse, they do not even fit well with one another. The tracks were bought to be added to a mixed set of Ikea and Thomas tracks I have. All of them have mixed well up to this point. A set of this quality won't work with itself but adding to a mixed set makes a set a toddler won't be able to play with because the pieces don't fit together

The male ends are a bit too long and slim. Motorized trains get stuck when tracks are misaligned due to this issue. I prefer the female ends being a bit more uniform and deeper, but not an issue. The deal breaker is this. These cannot be used by a toddler because of this. There are so many Ikeas all over the place, but Ikeas are much better quality. As you can see in the picture I've provided, these two pictures are side-by-side. In my error, I added them all to our set, and now there is a big clean up to do. It is not clear if I will try to pack them up and return them to Amazon. In this case, if there were only a couple of issues, I would just pull out the belt sander and drill and fix it. However, there are more serious problems. The problem affects them all.
