I ordered 8 tracks (2 packs of 4 in each). Of the eight, 3 were defective. The tracks that were not assembled settled right in, and the broken ones connected properly. The defect with the defective tracks was when it rested on the board. There were gaps where the metal track bar was connected due to its insufficient length. You will most likely relate to my meaning if you are an enthusiast. I was lucky enough to have enough working tracks under my Christmas tree to complete the track I was designing. I am a kid at heart. During a thorough search of my wife's possessions, I came across my Bachman Spectrum passenger cars and my HO steam engine. decided to put it under the Christmas tree this year because I was so excited about it. As I tested the engine to see if it still runs, I found that the only track I had was two 9" straight tracks, which was enough to move it My first step was to find a Track is something I was unaware Amazon sold, but they do indeed. As I saw in the picture and as I read the reviews, I found them to be favorable. thought it was great that they snapped together and could be used on carpet without having to move the track. A chance order was made and several packs of 22" radius curved, 9" straight and terminal rerailers were shipped to me. The first good thing about it was that I got a 2-day delivery. I took advantage of PRIME for the first time. quickly built them and was surprised at how easily they snapped together. It was just as easy to disassemble them.
I bought a train track along the carpet edge around the Christmas tree. (There should always be a train under or beside every Christmas tree. I ran the train at full speed and I was delighted to see the track did not move on the carpet - it sits flat on the carpet, and the train runs evenly on the track (no wavy up and down motions where the tracks connect). It's a tight fit that feels solid. In other words, the tracks behave like they are nailed to a platform by nails. This is a very good set of tracks for the purpose we are using them for (a train set for kids to put together from time to time, not a permanent display). Despite the fact that the track is more solid, I was hoping that I would have an easier time allowing the kids to play with the train set on the carpet. We still have serious problems with derailments, and the engines themselves get You have to ensure the rails are lined up correctly and linked carefully during setup. Rails are quick and easy to assemble, but you still have to watch out for connecting them properly. The tracks do not look very "realistic" to the avid train enthusiast, but for a starter train set for kids, they are ideal, as they will help young minds with smaller hands to build their train sets in more of a hands-on manner. They are easy to put together (my four-year-old can do it).

In a nutshell In terms of Bachman accessories, there is absolutely nothing to dislike, such as EZ Tracks and Metal Wheels in N and HO scales and plastic trucks to hold metal wheels, etc. These elements are a necessity when building your own passenger cars and goods wagons. As a birthday present, these were a big hit with my son. The pieces easily snap together with the rest of his pieces and now he can create different-shaped tracks instead of just circles. I found them to be very affordable and worked well at the same time.

It was an addition to my son's train set that I purchased. of the pieces is off set, so when the train passes over it, it derails. It is impossible to use the entire pack (uneven number of pieces) when one of the pieces is inoperable.

It will be nice to have the oval track most of us had as kids instead of the circular track most of us get in new ho starter sets. It was cheapened up and parts were left out by the manufacturers as with most things. It's time to return them to their rightful place.
