This was purchased for my grandson, who is four years old. He has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and is a high-functioning individual. I thought this would be a great alternative toy for him because he loves his Mr. Potato Head and is very creative with it. It was without a doubt. He enjoys making the faces and copying the included face card. The only flaw I found with the set is that the box is too small due to the large number of pieces. To see what you can build, you must first lay out the pieces. It would be nice to have a slightly larger box with more compartments.
This kit was purchased as a fun way for my 22-month-old and I to work on parts of the face vocabulary. It makes me extremely happy. The pieces are vibrant, and there is a wide range of styles to choose from. br>br>I'm expecting a new baby later this year, and I think this will be a fun way to pass the time while I'm feeding or sleeping with her. We will only use the magnets under close supervision because some of them are quite small and could cause choking. br>br>My favorite part is that each card has its own set of pieces, allowing you to separate everything you need to make the faces into separate bags. When my son had all 70 magnets to choose from, he became overwhelmed and dumped the entire box before walking away. He began to have a lot of fun with it once I only gave him the supplies he needed to make one face. This is also useful for traveling because you can grab everything you need to complete a few tasks without having to carry around a lot of easily misplaced pieces. br>br>My only complaint is that I don't think this set will last us very long; after only 30 minutes of playing with the magnets, a few have already been damaged by the peeling paper. Overall, I think this is a fantastic toy. br>br> When my daughter is older, I plan to buy the girl version, and I think it would make a great gift for some of my nieces and nephews.
It's adorable, but more cards, or none at all, would be preferable. My children don't seem to comprehend that they can make their own faces and that they can simply stop playing when the few cards are finished. For storage, a latch to keep it shut would be helpful. br>br>We bought it to play in the car on road trips, but it quickly became clear that it wouldn't work when my son (6) opened it upside down and all the teeny-tiny pieces flew all over the backseat. He still had trouble finding pieces he needed in the box after we picked them up; you need a lot of room to lay them out.
There are a few of them. My son is having a lot of fun putting the crazy faces together. I enjoy hunting down toys that are both entertaining and educational for my son. Dexterity, facial recognition, matching, and independent play are just a few of the skills you'll learn. When he finishes the faces, he beams with pride. Our purchase has been a great success.
There are a lot of different parts to make fun, funny faces with. I deducted one star because the magnets could have been a little more powerful.
It's a great game for kids to play. I bought it for a road trip with our three-year-old son, and it was a lot of fun. My only gripe is that the magnet is a little weak, and the pieces don't always adhere well to the board.
I was afraid that one of the pieces might be missing because there are so many of them. As a result, I took a tally of everything. Everyone had shown up! My kids have never had so much fun with a toy as they have with this one. Another teacher with whom I work was so taken with it that she went out and purchased a set for herself.
It's a wonderful present for a child.
