There are no commas or periods, as you correctly pointed out. I'm not sure why this is. That is a question that Inspired Thinkers must address.
I haven't tried them on a glass magnetic board, so I can't say whether they'd work.
The letters are extremely adherent to the magnetic board that comes with the set. They ought to do the same with your refrigerator. I hope you have as much fun with them as we have!

I looked at a lot of different products and was thinking about getting some foam sets (like this one) or a Montessori-inspired wooden movable alphabet set. In comparison to the movable alphabet I was considering, I liked that these foam sets were self-contained, magnetic, and included a magnet/dry erase board as well as markers. They also included upper and lower case letters. Some of the sets had both serif and sans serif letters, which worried me. I was also worried about the letters having a strong off-gassing odor. Finally, I came across this set, which features very basic, clear sans serif letters and is free of any known harmful chemicals. Although not as environmentally or socially friendly as a wooden set, this set appears to be well-made and something that can be passed down once we've used it. My child has enjoyed it so far and is eager to put it to use. There are no strong chemical odors, and all of the letters are visible - I'm happy with my purchase in general!.
Because there were no reviews, I was hesitant to purchase it, but I liked that the letters were more "true to form" than some other similar products. It's difficult to teach children how to read letters when the fonts vary so much. The majority of the letters in this one seemed to be the most similar to the ones we'd been practicing. This makes me very happy!
- br>- I was impressed by the packaging. br>- The letters appear to be durable enough to withstand use by my two children.
- All of the vowels are red, which makes them stand out a little more.
- The eraser is excellent, and the board appears to be brand new after erasing (some dry erase surfaces appear to retain marker lines even after being erased). br>- There are enough of each letter to make a large number of words and practice letter writing and recognition. br>- The box is sturdy, and each section is labeled with the letter that goes in it, so my son knows where to put the letters when he's finished. The only disadvantage is that the labels appear to be easily removed. However, a small amount of tape can help: )br>br>This is an excellent product, and I'm glad I chose it: ) I strongly suggest it.
This set is fantastic! In our homeschool, we use it a lot! I wish the letters were made of wood instead of foam, but I'm sure that would raise the price significantly, so I'm content with the foam. They appear to be quite sturdy and not as flimsy as some of the foam letters we've used in the past. The magnetic board performs admirably, and the dry erase marker erases the board with ease. We've had a lot of similar items in the past, and they're usually of lower quality at this price point, so I'm very pleased! Not to mention the fantastic carrying case in which they arrived! I'm curious if there's a set of numbers. 🤔.
These foam letters are easily bendable and will be torn apart quickly. I purchased three boxes for my first-grade students. I read the reviews and thought they'd be perfect, but I was very disappointed when I received them! I'm not going to let my first-graders use these in my classroom. They're of poor quality and are likely to break. Please choose Lakeshore's higher-quality plastic magnetic letters, which are more expensive but will last for years! They're also non-refundable, which caught me off guard. Be wary of the buyer!.
The set's durability and organization were my first impressions. The storage case has plenty of room, and the letters fit into the box without having to "squeeze" them in. They're thick enough for my five-year-old to handle comfortably, and they're durable enough that I expect (hope) they'll outlast previous sets I've owned. As a former classroom teacher and a grandmother who homeschools her grandchildren, I would highly recommend this set as a teaching tool. It was well worth the investment!.
It meets our requirements. My son has been using this kit with his schoolwork since we got it a few weeks ago. He has to use tiles as part of his reading and spelling program. We had to sell one of the lower levels containing the tiles, and we couldn't afford to replace them, so I decided to purchase this kit instead. It's been extremely beneficial! I like how the letters and the magnetic grease board are all contained in a single kit. I also like that each letter has its own bin and is alphabetically organized, making it simple for my son to find the letter he requires. On each letter, the magnet isn't very strong. The magnet is strong enough to do the job that was intended, which is to sit at a desk and spell out a word, but I don't think you could pick up the board and swing it around and have the letter stay on the board; however, the mini grease board pen and eraser are a nice touch. This kit has the potential to last a long time.
The lower case "q" has a curved tail rather than the diagonal flag that I was taught decades ago, but it still has a tail and does not resemble a backwards p. The lower case p and the upper case P are nearly identical. The uppercase P has a smooth top edge where the stick and ball attach, while the lowercase P does not. A slight stick extends above the ball attachment point on the lower case p. To tell them apart, you'll have to look closely, and the labels for each compartment must be applied by hand. When I get around to it, it won't be a big deal. I'm not sure how well they'll hold up to rough handling and abuse from young boys, but one buyer said they bounce back into shape nicely after being folded. I'm not sure what "sheerness" has to do with the "thickness" categories. As a result, I rated them the same.
The vowels are a different color, the magnets work well, and the font isn't confusing to students, so I was thrilled to receive these in the mail. However, I was disappointed that they arrived with a rough appearance due to the material. It's not a big deal, and I'll use them anyway, but because the material is foam, most of them had dents and marks all over them. I'm guessing this happened while the package was being transported. I did have a few that had what appeared to be pen marks on several of the letters. They looked as if they'd been doodled on. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and they'll be useful at my teacher table for small group instruction.
