They are not strong enough to hold anything up, such as papers, but they are strong in the sense that they stay put on the magnetic boards and do not slide down or off. The color combination is fantastic! It's very colorful and enjoyable. I really like the case they come in, because each letter has its own spot. There are two uppercase letters and six lowercase letters in each group. I'm very particular about letters and fonts, so I was expecting to have to cut the tails off the t's and such, but they're exactly what I needed! Not as depicted in the photographs. I've included photos of each letter so you can see how the font looks. I can't wait to put these to use! It also comes with a small board that is quite sturdy. The dry erase markers are perfect for the small board and erase completely and perfectly! This is a fantastic purchase! I would strongly suggest it! br>Recent changes: I just wanted to let everyone know that I was wrong about the magnets not being strong enough to keep everything in place! I use them all the time to hold up picture cards and papers, and they're fantastic!!.
This isn't something you should buy. This is a terrible product that isn't returnable. Because of the hazard notice on this made in China product, I would never give it to a grandchild as a gift. I've never attempted to return something I bought on Amazon. Imagine my surprise when you try to return it and it says it's not eligible because of the gases! What? This is something you should not buy! If one star wasn't the lowest possible, I would give it a negative four.
It's an ideal teaching opportunity for 2nd graders! Do what is right at all times. Allowing a teacher to return a brand-new product that arrived damaged is an example. This company does not stand behind their product, and these kids witnessed unethical and irresponsible behavior up close and personal.
Because each child can use a different colored set of letters, this set is PERFECT for working with children in small groups! That they don't mix up their letter sets in any way! Hooray! It took an incredibly long time to find a product like this, where each set of letters is a different color! And all of the colors were a hit with my kindergarteners! br>Orange, yellow, light green, light blue, and a very light violet are available for the lowercase letters. Bright red and navy blue are the colors of the capitals. There are a few punctuation pieces as well. br>Even in the hands of four-year-old children, these have lasted all year! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five for sturdiness is that one of the lowercase letter Q's arrived with the hook mostly torn off. It didn't last very long. A few more lowercase q's have lost their hooks as well. We can still use them, but without the hook, it's a little harder for the kids to tell whether a letter is a lowercase b or a q. br>I've learned not to tell the kids not to FOLD any of the letters in half. I'm not sure why they would try this, but some kids like to fiddle with letters and see what they can come up with, such as folding or twisting them to see if they will break. Fortunately, once a letter has been folded, it will usually return to its original shape within a few minutes! Since I discovered it earlier this year, I've recommended it numerous times!.
My sister bought two sets for her preschool and kindergarten students to use at home for learning activities. So far, the kids have enjoyed them because the letters are bright and easy to use on the bulletin boards. My sister, on the other hand, is unhappy with the dry erase boards' durability (or lack thereof). They aren't as strong as others and are prone to bending. Which wouldn't be such a problem if they could be kept in the same case as the rest of the stuff. She also noticed that after about the third or fourth use, the eraser no longer completely removes the marker, and she has to go over the board again with a paper towel. Also, keep in mind that these markers are small and aren't recommended for beginners (they'll press down too hard and ruin the tips). Overall, she thinks these are a good buy, and she would buy them again and highly recommend them.
Reading Interventionist Reviewbr>This product exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Pros: It is suitable for children. sized. The hook on the lowercase q is quite nice. The letters are made of foam and are light in weight. The case is light in weight, making it easy to handle. The markers and eraser that come with the kit are also safe for kids. sized. br>Multiple upper compartments are housed in the compartments. Many job opportunities require lowercase letters. Con: My only real concern is the whiteboard, which does not appear to be durable enough for frequent use in the classroom. The letters' long-term viability is also a concern. Only time will tell if this is true.
This was purchased for my 4-year-old grandson, who has been hesitant to learn his letters. It's a hit with him and his 6-year-old sister. It's even been used in a game of store. I inquire about purchasing a letter, which they must locate and sell to me. I use the magnetic white board to make sentences with the letters I purchase, which is a great addition. Following that, the six-year-old reads them aloud. I like how each letter has a lot of them. What a wonderful present!.
My five-year-olds have a blast using all of the manipulatives to spell words and then writing them on the dry erase board that comes with it. My only complaint is that the brand name is prominently displayed on the dry erase board in the top / center of the board, which causes my kids to wonder what it says and is a bit of a distraction. I would have preferred to have those extra specs to work on sentence structure.
