They're made out of magnet sheets.

No, the * symbols are present.

I'm making a purchase for someone who is completely deafeningly deafeningly deaf Is it possible to get a sense of the number without taking it out of the fridge?

There is no Braille on the number magnets, which are slightly raised. In my opinion, it's a little difficult to get a sense of the number.

This is one of my favorite activities to do with my third-graders. I've included a photo to show how many of each item there are.

The font is large and prominent
4/5

These were purchased for classroom use. They're the perfect size to be seen from every angle in the room. I use them to keep track of the date and the number of units in my inventory. They're smooth and stay put on my whiteboard, and there's a good amount of each number.

I'd prefer the "9" to be done in a different way
4/5

So I ordered these to put on a small white board on my kindergartener's work table to help her remember how to write numbers and to use as a fun way for her to practice math problems in the future. It was difficult for me to find magnetic numbers that represented the numbers 1 and 4 as written numbers rather than typed numbers. Yes, I want her to see how typed numbers appear, but we're focusing on proper number writing right now. br>In my opinion, the advantages are: br>In the pictures, the number "4" is depicted in a different way; It's written as a true 4 rather than a typed 4 (to prevent the top from coming in and joining), which is exactly what I wanted. The number "1" is also depicted in a variety of ways in the images; It's written as a true 1 rather than a typed 1 (i. e. , it's just a straight stick rather than a stick with a line coming down from the top), which is exactly what I wanted. br>I also appreciated the inclusion of a decimal, dollar and cent signs, and greater/lesser than signs in this set. Many of the other sets I looked at did not have those. br>For me, the disadvantages are: br>However, there's a "9"! Ugh. It's written as a typed 9 with a curved bottom rather than a straight stick down from the backwards "c" (basically an upside down 6). My daughter now wants to write the number 9 with a curved bottom, so I wish the 9 was done differently. br>As mentioned by another reviewer, the numbers and symbols are black on both sides, making it difficult to tell which side the magnetic is on (if you look closely, the magnetic side is a blunt black and the front facing side is a shiny black, but it's still annoying). As a result, I wish they came in a different color. br>br>Aside from those two issues, I'm happy with the product.

This is ideal
5/5

This is fantastic! They are adorable and include everything you could possibly require. Numerous figures are available. That's what I use on my classroom's white board for the date. They are far superior to writing the date on a piece of paper every day.

These are some impressive figures
5/5

These are fantastic. These are used to display the date on the whiteboard in my classroom. It has a large number of each. I would strongly suggest it.

It could've been more well-planned
3/5

It's hard to believe these were made by a teacher. They're too thin for small fingers to easily lift onto and off of the refrigerator's surface, and they're black on both sides. As a result, young children are unable to distinguish between the magnet and non-magnetic sides. When they put the wrong side of the magnet on the refrigerator and it won't stick, it causes frustration.

It's a great item, but it's heavily scented! The heavy perfumed smell is the only drawback
5/5

br>br>Nice quality product. br>br>Only drawback is the heavy perfumed smell. I'm not sure if it was kept in a perfumed environment or if something was spilled on it, but it stinks. I soaked it in vinegar to get rid of the smell, but it still lingers. It smells like toilet paper with a strong scent or a cleaner like Fabuloso. br>br>If you order this, I strongly advise you to do so on that specific day. My order came with a calendar, which I thought was a joke at first, but these numbers are unmistakably from Amazon. The calendar appears to be in good working order at this time.
