How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Compared to a professional version, this habitat is more square, sits straight, does not rock or move, has a polyester bottom, and is easier to clean. There is also a starter manual for raising butterflies in the book.
The black swallowtail butterfly is a beautiful butterfly that can be seen during the fall. With a clear vinyl window panel, students and families can observe caterpillars turn into chrysalides and then emerge as butterflies.
It is easily folded for convenient storage and reusability, and measures 24 inches by 24 inches by 36 inches when unfolded. It is rather tall and wide and can hold milkweed plants as large as 4 or 3 feet tall. One enclosure can be used to raise up to 40 caterpillars at one time. When trying to stir up a new butterfly, its wings are not at risk of breaking.
Flow of air is assured by mesh panels. You can rest assured that the caterpillars will be safe and comfortable in the fine mesh enclosure long after their arrival.
Never interrupt chrysalises on the cage roof when opening the cage door from the side. There is a large, zippered opening so you can easily feed the butterflies, then release them. It's not uncommon for butterflies to land on the hands and faces of children before they fly

Questions & Answers

Surely zippers can't be opened from either side if they've been closed at the top like the description implies?

This zipper zips on three sides, allowing you to have the zippers close together on the side, at the bottom or at the top

Is the item accompanied by instructions?

If you're asking if they come with instructions to raise butterflies, then no, because we've purchased three and they work perfectly. You can find plenty of great information on the internet about how to take care of the different species, so there shouldn't be any problem. They're very easy to assemble - they just need a bit of water, and they're ready to go. All you need to do is open and unfold them to use them

Plants need water to grow. How do you do that? Under the plants, does it need to be a tray? It was a pleasure answering your question. ?

In my case, I have a saucer under the plant, and I have a drip line to water it. We threaded our hands through the top of the zipper to close the zipper from the top down. There was a large amount of water needed by my milkweeds.

Was it because they were not selling enough hampers?

With this, you'll be able to identify butterflies from a finer mesh and a vinyl window

The owner of the cats created a condo for them
5/5

The caterpillars are now in 57 caterpillars, and the 10 chrysalis are in 10 chrysalis. I flipped this on its side while intended for use with tall milkweed plants. My mind is racing with all the accessories I could put This should be made in a sideways version as well, I think. The only one I can find is not out there Send me your accessory ideas and I'll be glad to help The best ) I love the best.

It is quite an experience to explore the Restcloud 36" Butterfly Habitat
5/5

It is my intention to raise swallowtail butterflies in this habitat. During my fourth summer raising swallowtails, I have collected more than 1,000 butterflies. Caterpillars used to live in raised herb beds covered by bird netting in the past. As I looked at the netting during my second summer I noticed that some cardinals had figured out how to jump on top of it, lowering it enough to grab the caterpillars. As the caterpillars drew near to pupate, they retreated During just three summers, I found only one chrysalis. Although vulnerable to birds, wasps, and other predators as well, butterflies rely on this habitat for laying eggs, growing caterpillars, and producing chrysales. There are so many fine meshes, you can even prevent spider mites and tiny insects from invading. It is easy to access potted plants, caterpillars, and butterflies using the zippered door. Plastic windows are not only easy to see through, but they also protect you from the wind. It is in this habitat that I can observe caterpillars eating, growing, and pupating In addition, I can watch each chrysalis change every day waiting for the emergence of the butterfly. The wings of butterflies that unfurl and dry on mesh sides can adhere easily to mesh or ceilings. This habitat has weathered a heavy downpour without losing its strength This is pouring. This is an easy to clean product - Get rid of the potted plants (including their caterpillars and chrysales) and gently sweep the floor with a Wet a paper towel and wipe the floor clean. (Do not leave the caterpillars or the chrysales unattended while they are outside As soon as the birds see them, they will dine on i) This habitat has greatly enhanced my butterfly experience this summer, which is my fourth It is my recommendation that this habitat be used in the breeding of As well as providing butterfly raising tips, the seller offers info about how to raise.

The price is good and the size is great
5/5

I have raised Monarchs in this and have had up to 60 caterpillars in it, so I am really happy with its size. The beauty of this is the variety of plant space offered when it's lying on its side or standing upright. In upright plants, I had as many as six 1 gallon milkweed plants with an average height of 3 feet and there was still plenty of room. With lots of extra room on its side, I was able to fit three bushy 5 gallon milkweed plants. All I can say is that the zipper just gets stuck on one side, but this seems to be a common problem with a lot of It would be nice if the zipper was better quality. The habitat I have now has only been around for a few weeks, but I have already decided to order.

Raising butterflies is a great way to raise them
5/5

I am looking for new and interesting hobbies to do with my wife, after we retired recently. told us that he raised Monarch Butterflies and that he could give us some milkweed plants to start our project off. Host plants, which have the name milkweed are in fact weeds which become very large very quickly. It is the caterpillars, which are the next stage after eggs, that consume the host plants. I also included pictures of the Restcloud Habitat that show pupae as they turn into adults. When the pupae have matured for about 6 days, the adult butterfly appears. Nature lovers will find this to be a fantastic process and I highly recommend it. All I wish for is the chance to share the experience with some grandchildren. Our original plan had been to have a mesh laundry basket hold the milkweed, but it turned out to be too small and not a satisfactory solution. We spent $30 for a habitat, and my wife thought that was crazy, but I said that once we got to see it, we might reconsider. In my opinion, this is the right way to go. We were very satisfied with the habitat once it had been received. If you want to grow milkweed, we recommend the large planter, which is 3 feet tall and can hold the full plant. At this time, we have six caterpillars that are about to form pupae, and one pupae that hangs from the net. As the habitat has transparent plastic on the front and a zipper on the side, it allows for easy viewing and also allows you to open and close it to water your milkweed and release the This is a good product. It is well made and has a very fair price. I recommend it highly.

This butterfly habitat is one of my favorites
5/5

It's really neat to see a This 36" milkweed plant is tall enough for a tall milkweed plant. I had seen smaller ones. Despite my efforts to protect the milkweed I planted, the birds were able to eat the caterpillars that were there. Now I can zip them safely inside the habitat, where they are In addition, it allows me to watch them through every stage, from the egg to the caterpillar to the chrysalis to the beautiful monarch. In addition to providing a secure habitat, it acts as a protective barrier against birds that require the butterflies to eat before they start flying. In the end, I release them as soon as they are free to fly inside the habitat. The classroom would benefit greatly from this habitat. The goal of my research will be to raise other butterfly species, and I plan to build an 8x8 foot butterfly house out of a screened enclosure A canopy in the z-up style. It's a happy day for a.

Using the clear panel, you can see the size and construction of the panel very well
4/5

Habitat just arrived and everything looks great, it's folds up into a small flat package that makes storing it a snap. However, I didn't quite store it compactly enough so that the plastic side had a chance to dry and remove wrinkles. The container is a great size, as it will allow me to put some long plants in it, you'd be surprised how much those guys The light green blends well with the vegetation in the sunroom, so we chose it because it matches the leaves. It is easy to get in and out of the zipper thanks to its size. You will need to clean every day with this. My hope is that the bottom material will be easy to clean. It is nevertheless big enough to be able to put a pan inside if you wish to expedite In general, it looks to be a superb product that will retain its quality season after season. We are looking forward to helping to increase the numbers of butterflies in our area with the help of this Terrarium, which has a high mortality rate for the butterflies. It does not have 5 stars for now since we do not know for sure how long it will last. But perhaps next year we can get another one to compare and help more butterflies. You will be pleased with this product if you are looking to help out. It's a good size and built well, so just get it and you won't regret it.
