Little Tikes Fold 'N Store Picnic Table

This table has proven to be an excellent choice. My son grabs his crayons, markers, and coloring books and walks over to the table whenever he wants to draw. It's wonderful not to have to be concerned about drawing on the walls or the floor. He slides to the opposite side of the table and eats his snack after he finishes drawing. The dining room table is superb. It's quite large, so it took some ingenuity to find a suitable location for it. I haven't had any issues with the bench seats collapsing, as some other reviewers have. I've had as many as four children at the table, and it's always worked out well. I'd like to put it outside, but there are screws and it's not a fold-and-store table. Nothing should be labeled as such if it requires tools to disassemble in order to fold. Silly. That was something I was aware of prior to making the purchase, so it came as no surprise. I really like the table and am glad I was able to get it.

I've had older kids sit at it just fine, and it didn't appear to be too small even for a ten-year-old. year- old. This hasn't been an issue for me because I don't have a lot of kids, but if you're using it in a daycare setting with a lot of kids eating or doing crafts at the same time, this is something to keep in mind. br>Another thing to keep in mind is that This product's name is a little deceiving. You can fold it and put it away, but that's not all there is to it. You must first unscrew and remove parts from the legs in order to enable it to fold; this is not difficult, but it can be difficult if you are doing it alone without another pair of hands to assist you. It's difficult to reassemble it without assistance because as soon as one side is unfolded, the other collapses, and to set it up, all four legs must be standing at the same time when the screws are reinserted. So don't get this if you live in a small space and want to fold it and store it after each use. The ability to fold and store is really only useful for long-term storage. And, let's face it, who keeps a small table like this for a long time? If you have small children, you'll want it out and about all the time, and if they've outgrown it, you'll be more likely to give it away or sell it than keep it. Because we have six small grandchildren, I bought this picnic table. It's fantastic, and the kids are enthralled by it. However, there was one surprise. One of the reasons I bought this table is that it can be folded and stored when not in use. Maybe I didn't read the product description carefully enough, but I didn't realize that in order to fold it, four leg braces must be removed (partial disassembly). (Perhaps a storage bag for the small parts [bolts, wing nuts, and braces] should be included. ) I planned on bringing it out on weekends when the kids were here and storing it the rest of the time, but it will be out far more frequently than I anticipated.

AND A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT FROM WHICH TO ORDER. THE FACTORY HAS RECEIVED THE PRODUCT DEFECT - THE HOLES FOR THE BOLTS WERE OUT OF SHAPE, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO ALIEN A SCREW OR BOLT IN THEM. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BECAUSE THE BOX APPEARED TO BE ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD AND LIKE IT HAD BEEN IN A FLOOD, I BELIEVE SOMEONE LES HAD IT AND FOUND THE UNFIXABLE PROBLEM. I GAVE IT BACK - THEN IT WAS GIVEN TO ME. THE WORST PART WAS THAT THE BAZINGAROO WHO SENT IT FROM AMAZON SAID "I" HAD TO RETURN IT (THEY SENT ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND WON'T COME PICK IT UP) AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANYMORE TO REPLACE IT, SO I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND AFTER 2 WKS TO GO FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR M I WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.

Caution. Do not overtighten the screws. Finish by hand. br>br>Working quickly, efficiently, and cooperatively (we've previously assembled IKEA furniture and gas grills), it only took 45 minutes and Viola! THE TABLE WAS COMPLETELY COMPLETE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. To be fair, it helps a lot if you enjoy and have some experience putting things together to achieve this result. br>br>However, don't be put off by the assembly horror stories. Take the approach outlined above and you'll be fine. br>br>The three toddlers for whom it was built are going to adore it. It'll also withstand anything they or the weather can throw at it because it's a Little Tikes product.

This was purchased for my newly opened daycare. I can't imagine sitting eight kids at this table comfortably, but six isn't out of the question. Although it is strong, it is not capable of supporting an adult's weight. It can't be folded without removing four wingnuts, which were a pain to get onto the table in the first place, so removing and replacing them to fold and unfold would be inconvenient. But, for my purposes, that's fine. I don't think I'll be able to store this table. It's in regular use and appears to be brand new.
