This caddy was purchased to organize and centralize the books that we keep at our home for our granddaughter. They were dispersed throughout the house, in various toy boxes, drawers, and bins. This is a good size for me because it fits in an out-of-the-way place. the- way around the corner It took me 16 minutes to put together, and half of that time was spent figuring out how to put it together - There are no words, only numbered pictures. The caddy is well-made and well-balanced. In the top portion of the caddy, there are currently 47 books - Thirty-four Cat in the Hat-sized books and thirteen board books are available. Not including the bottom shelf, where several more books (or whatever) can stack, I'd estimate there's still room for about ten more. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it. br>*For scale, a rough Collie.
I absolutely adore it! Make the most of your space by storing a large number of books for toddlers. It's both sturdy and lovely. Unlike other book shelves, this is an excellent purchase.
Because I was able to complete the assembly in just over 30 minutes while caring for a toddler and newborn, I gave it five stars. It also has a larger capacity than expected for books. I'm glad I went with this instead of the crate and kids' caddy. My toddler would love it. It's a good deal all around.
ENSURE THAT ALL PIECES ARE SUPPORTED UNTIL THEY ARE COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED! That is the most important piece of advice I can give (it isn't mentioned in the instructions). I thought I was doing a good job of holding everything together. However, as I progressed from step 2 to step 3 (at which point 6 of the 7 pieces are connected), the bottom shelf (piece B) began to pull away from piece C (the bottom slat) due to the MDF's lack of strength. With some wood glue, I've clamped it together. Because I'm not going to put anything heavy on that shelf, I'm hoping it'll be fine. In addition, any weight will press the shelf against the slat. However, I am underwhelmed by the materials, and I am concerned that the MDF will dent easily with light use. The color is a matte dark blue, rather than the deep navy shown in the photos. In addition, one of the pre-existing pre-existing pre-existing pre-exist The drilled holes were slightly too shallow for the supplied nut - To tighten the bolt, I had to press hard on the nut and even use a mallet to sink it into the bevel, but the rack should be fine for the 3-day event. I intend to use the ring binders on the shelf, but the quality is disappointing. (As an example, This week, I purchased a guitar rack. It was made of solid oak and was in very good condition. It was well-made and simple to assemble. They don't make book racks, which is a shame.
I needed a way to store my 22-month-old son's board books so that he could learn to retrieve and put them away on his own. I was on the verge of purchasing a similar item from a high-end retailer, but I couldn't justify spending $150 on such a small piece of furniture. I'm so glad I didn't go with the other option. It's of good quality and simple to assemble. The only visible difference between this and the other is that the screw heads on the sides are visible, which I don't mind. It's very sturdy, and it's even more so with the weight of the books on top of it. Even if my son tried, I doubt he'd be able to tip it. Above all, it's a useful and practical item that's also cute. My son was immediately drawn to it, and he began pulling books from the shelf and placing them back on the shelf. The design of the shelves is the only thing that bothers me about it. My son's books sometimes fall through the crack because he faces them straight out instead of at an angle. It would have been better if there was just one solid piece, but it's not a deal breaker and can even be used as a learning opportunity. Overall, this was a good purchase, and I am very happy with it.
This was purchased to replace a sling bookcase with a wooden frame and cloth over it. Those don't hold nearly as much as this and take up more room. This bookcase can hold a surprising number of books, and the bottom shelf can be used for extra storage. We use it to store baby books so she can reach them. The navy color scheme is stunning. I'd been admiring a more expensive version of this from another furniture store (you know who you are). ) and I'm glad I didn't waste all that money just to hide the screw ends in a few spots, because that's the only difference.
However, that is merely a nitpicky aesthetic opinion. This was incredibly simple to put together; I'm at a loss for how to put together furniture for my nursery, and I was able to put this together in under 15 minutes (and I'm 38 weeks pregnant). ) It's very sturdy; as I mentioned, it's larger than I anticipated, so it holds all of our current books, and I'm impressed! It's adorable, and I like how simple it is!.
As a solution, I eventually came across this bookshelf. It came in a flash. In about 15 minutes, I put it together with the "assistance" of my 22-month-old. We've owned it long enough to know how much we enjoy it. My daughter is capable of putting her books away on her own. When she's looking for a specific book, she makes no messes. The shelf is also ideal for her wooden puzzles, which are too long to fit on the toy shelf. Simply put, we adore this shelf and highly recommend it. Every parent we know who has seen this shelf has expressed an interest in purchasing one for themselves.
