Questions & Answers
All three lamps are powered by four AA batteries, which I sourced from a miniature LED strand. Also, I connected the bulbs with red closest to the batteries, yellow a little further away, and green most distant (hopefully this would create a balance between their brightness). Batteries usually last for a couple of months (when used
This price is for 3pcs track signals, each signal with three-way signal output Leds that emit green, yellow, and red light.
In order to operate the signal, you must decide which color light you want and how you want to wire it
One amplification equals 20 amps, or 2000 1/1000 of an amp). A total of 12 signals would draw 240 mA due to the fact that only one can be processed at a time therefore, 1/4 amp would be 240 mA. According to the listed 12 Volts (AC or DC), that would be less than 3 Watts (Volts X Amps = Watts),a considerable amount of power for such a small item. You will need something like a twelve volt AC adapter, such as one for your phone (not a phone charger, which only provides five volts). Another type of terminal is the 12 Volts Accessory terminal of a HO power pack. As far as controlling them manually is concerned, you'd need 12 Single Pole Triple Throw (SP3T) switches (switches with 3 positions for the R, Y, and G Usually, you can't find or can't find toggle switches like this, so Rotary switches (Amazon sells them for a little over $6 each) are probably your best bet. If you have 3 or more of them, you might want to use relays, as another answer suggests, but unless there is a 3-way switch, In the case of two-way turnouts (unusual, but not unheard of), all you need is the red and green lights. Putting yellow on would never make sense. Additionally, this would not represent an example of how this sort of signal is used. At least this would be Automatic instead of Manual, as you requested. In case you only want 2 colors of SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switches are readily available and reasonably priced. Hope this I do want to add the following to your PS Signals that are quite well made and at a very attractive price point!

The listing for this product caught my eye while I was looking for other items & Why not, I thought, for a little over $6 each? It's true that they were delivered earlier than expected, but when I opened the package they appeared to be too small for HO scale. After taking one out of the plastic box and placing it on my layout I found that it had the same height as what I currently have on the layout. However, like other targets I have (which have oversized targets to fit the G. At the time, there were only a limited number of bulbs available They are elegantly delicate looking (but made of metal and plastic) since LEDs did not exist back then I thought it was pretty It looks very good (nicely built & well-designed With nearly invisible wiring assembly)! My concern arose when I looked at the limited instructions, which indicated + and - just like the mnemonic. There is a possibility that they are Ds. (Meanwhile, my A. , B. , or C. I knew disappointment was coming, so I prepared myself accordingly. It was a pleasant surprise to find out they work on both. Soldering the resistor in place is the necessary step- It should be possible to add another line to the Green lead (wires are VERY small gauge), although one reviewer suggested that it should be added to the Green lead since it is much brighter than the others. Therefore, the prospect of installing on an existing layout (replacing old, dimmer, over-sized Incandescents of an appropriate size) poses a challenge, but it is worth it. Thanks for making this product! I'm very happy with it.
It works perfectly. It is very bright when the green light is on. It's brighter in yellow and blue, but red and blue do not seem to be so intense. This is the correct way to do it. It is too bright when the green light is on. A standard light switch was hooked up to them. My red and green lights are hooked to a switch so when the red light goes on, the green light comes on as well. When viewed from a distance, the wires seem very small. The number of lights I have currently is six, and I will order.
In the red light circuit, I used another resister I already had. It would have been great if there was a circuit board to connect them to, in order to control the lighting effects. If not, at least allow the option to purchase one. It is indicated in the instructions that this item is equipped with a circuit board. Could you please tell me where I may purchase.
My layout requires a few additional signals because I think they are a little short but they are good enough. The LED in the green color is exceptionally bright, as has been mentioned by others. As a way of lowering the voltage, I added an additional 2000 Ohm resistor to the green wire. As far as the red is concerned, it is pretty On the black wire, a 2000 or 3000 Ohm resistor might have been more appropriate rather than the 1000 Ohm resistor that the manufacturer used. During one of my tests, the 1000 Ohm resistor fell out of the heat shrink tube because it was not securely attached. Re-soldering it was all I had to do. My order for six more has just been placed.
These are the signals I got to add to the 3 color train table I have. I tested them with my Digitax SE8C card, but I had to solder a thicker wire to the hair thin wires in order to make a good connection.
The light on an old signal replaced by a new one (different manufacturer) was burned out. The switch must be the correct one for this system to work.
Excellent product for the price. I have bought a dozen of them already. Solid, reliable and easy to install, they are a great choice for your home or business.
