HO tracks are in use with my husband, so I am not sure. It came with no manual or instructions
There are five millimeter bulbs here. N scale engines have much smaller headlights and therefore would not work in N scale (to my mind). If the socket is too big, as for HO, it would depend on the size of the headlight. It seems to me that you would need to reduce the glow by using a size resistor.
It is true.
There is no need for AC power. If it does not light after connecting to a DC output, reverse the leads on the LED and it will turn on. Plugs can be purchased at a low cost There is no need for a separate DC transformer for wall installations. Even with a 9 Volt battery, it will light up.

Therefore, when the train moves, they light up when the voltage is turned on. The direction of a train is not an issue for AC power, but to indicate the direction of a DC train, As LEDs can be as small as 3mm, instead of adapting one LED to light whether it is facing east or west, I use a different approach as they can be as small as resistors. Basically, I just put two track lights together with one wired backwards to the other in a track light channel. So the red wire from one is soldered to the black wire from the other, and together they are wired to the DC power supply. No matter which way your track moves (polarity), there will always be a light. By using different colors of LEDs, one color indicates forward and the other color indicates reverse.
This bulb only throws light straight out of the bulb. I didn't realize that. In my case, this is not the most efficient solution for lighting a doll house.
Yup. *hi*. Thanks for the tip!.
As of now, we have only used 1, and we are still checking how hot it gets, so we might be able to give it a 5. It needs to be sure that nothing gets melted.
The model trains I'm using are from this company. The two scales are HO and O. The headlights are bright and have good directional light.
I like them a lot. It is very bright and consumes a very small amount of You can use it in the ham shack for many purposes. I would consider it rugged enough to use outdoors.
They were bought as part of my model railroad construction. I can adjust the installation to make them look more natural, but they're a bit too bright and white to work for It's a good light and a good price, all in all.
