Questions & Answers
The way I made this work is to solder slightly thicker copper wire to each of the smaller wires. Throughout the layout where all of the connections were made, I used painters tape to secure them.
It is possible to control them in a variety of ways. Several of mine are used to display turnout position and the motors on the turnout switches control them. It should be possible to control them, using a variety of occupancy detection devices and with a variety of software, such as JMRI software, if you are using them to display occupancy in a real railway. You can use a standard single pole double throw toggle switch if you wish to operate them manually.

An extra 600 ohm resistor can be added to the green light to balance its This is a cute little addition to any HO or N gauge layout, and if you add block sensors or infrared units you will have an even more engaging layout.
I like this.
It's great both to work and to.
On a layout, this would be great. Model trains that are close enough to the prototype to be on a layout (HO scale).
