It seems that the accessory (AC) power connections are solid. A few lighted passenger cars were also on my wish list. Generally, in this case, the LEDs can only be turned if the car is rotated so that the direction matches the polarity of LEDs. Reversing the screen will keep the lights on, but won't Furthermore, the LED lights in one of my cars flicker badly (I am using two strips The one I'm debugging still has issues. Adding an engine to the track causes a chaotic flickering, but the track is fine without a motor. In excess of). The following is less an assessment of the product itself (which works as designed) and more an advisory for those who are considering using this as a train light.
In my O gauge train layout, I am using these strips to illuminate buildings. I find that they are a great option with the adhesive strips, as they provide nice light with little disruption of the scenery, such as large wiring, etc. These lights are a great replacement for the traditional night lights in Christmas town type buildings. Because of their low heat output and power consumption, they are also a great alternative to conventional night lights. Product is great! I'm very happy with it.
I performed an initial test on them and found they work on 12 VAC, which is deck lighting's voltage. In the future, I plan to use several of them.
The little train parts will be able to operate off the DCC voltage if they are used in model trains. You can use either hot glue or shrink wrap to reinforce soldering joints.
Wouldn't it be easier if it were? Should the wires be soldered or wire nuts, or should a terminal strip be used? A very nice little light indeed. It takes just a few minutes to get it going when you connect it to a power source.
Their small and bright design makes them simple to mount and easy to use. For one project, I got these, but I've found that they can be used for other projects, too. These backlights are perfect for spaces with limited space.
I use the light to illuminate my vintage O gauge Pullman cars from the post-war era. Even for accent lights on my motorcycle, I may try them.
The lights will be used to light up Nevertheless, most LED lights I've used use a 3 volt battery. In order to get them to light, a larger power source had to be installed. As a result, they are easy to install, provide good light, and can be wired together with additional lights with a minimum of soldering.
