I have the same issue that I received as a gift for Father's Day and have only used once. Battery life was approximately 10 minutes. Then I went to charge it, but the red light did not turn off to indicate that it was finished. I checked it to see if it was just the charge light, but there was no charge in the battery, and the boat died quickly. When the boat's battery died, we were on the verge of losing it.
Amazon provided me with two additional batteries. With three batteries, you can run for a long time and have a good time.
You're not going to be able to do it, believe it or not. Wish you were able to
The charger is included.

This RC boat is about 15 inches long and travels at a speed of around 20 miles per hour. It's a lot of fun for my son, and my dog enjoys chasing it around. The rudder servo motor stopped going all the way from one side to the other side and lost possibly 25% of its turning to one side but the company sent a new one. I'd buy it again, and I'm sure I'll give it as a gift to other children. We flipped it once and had to coax it back to shore, but we eventually figured out how to flip it back over and it worked. The battery life is estimated to be between 20 and 30 minutes. 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how hard you push yourself. We purchased two additional batteries, which will last a long time. Because we've had it out that far, the turning radius is about 10 feet, and the maximum distance it can travel while still receiving a signal from the control is at least 50 yards. It can handle its own waves, but if it comes across something larger than 4 inches, it will most likely jump and flip. We're not sure because we're trying to go to calm lakes.
It's quick, but I wish it had a brushless motor to extend the battery life. It also capsizes easily, so don't use it in water where you won't be able to retrieve it.
We ordered two of these and didn't have high expectations, but the quality of these boats surpassed our expectations. In these boats, we found exactly what we were looking for! Speed ! 30km 100% pleased with the price

What a fantastic little vessel! Fast! But don't believe the battery low alert! It showed we still had some battery, and it died in the pond. I had to go out and get it in a kayak.
Adults and teenagers alike will enjoy this book. The fact that this boat is water cooled adds to its appeal. When the battery is not submerged, it is automatically disconnected. Although the remote is large and clumsy, it performs all of the functions required. The torque of the motor is excellent. The propeller on the boat is quite large. I purchased this with the intention of gutting it and repurposing the parts for another project, and the engineering is incredible. This boat is far superior to any other in its price range. It's not hobby-grade, but it's solid and heavy. This boat also comes with a small LiPo battery and a handy sub charger; the charge should last a long time because it's lipo, but I gutted it right after QC, so I'm not sure how long the battery will last.
This is a fantastic little craft! It is both quick and effective. It will self-right if it flips. I was afraid we'd get it stuck and have to chase it down. It was never the case. It was used by adults and a 6-year-old (all of whom were new to remote control boats) with no problems, and it was a lot of fun!.
Though it says it's for older kids, I bought it for an eight-year-old boy who chose this one. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but once my husband figured them out, charging the batteries and getting the boat up and running was a breeze. We put it to the test in a nearby pond, and it was incredibly fast! Much faster than we had anticipated. I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the low price, but it did!.
The battery life is adequate but not exceptional; however, the device is extremely quick. I bought it for my grandson to play with in the pool when it's too cold to swim, and it takes up quite a bit of room. He smacked it into the tile until he realized it was a finesse toy. It's fairly intuitive, but it's all about using a light touch on the controls. I'm not sure I'd use it in a pond with a lot of flora because it seems to get tangled up. It was well worth the money I spent on it.
