This is a fantastic little device. I bought it with the intention of taking it to the beach, assuming that the salt water would kill it in a day. With no problems, I drove it around in huge waves doing jumps and in lagoons. I repeatedly drove it into waves and submerged it. The battery lasts about 25 minutes and it simply floats back to the top, right side up. It's suitable for people of all ages.
To begin with, this isn't my first time building an RC boat. I have a much larger gas-powered RC boat (as seen in the photos), but I adore this little one. In any small pond, it is much easier to transport and drive. I like how the boat only starts up once it's in the water, eliminating the need to open the top to turn it on and off. I also like how the remote beeps when the battery is running low, so you don't have to worry about leaving the boat stranded if the remote isn't beeping. It came with a small rubber nose bumper, which I appreciated because I had previously crashed my larger boat into a rock, cracking the hull. This small boat is a favorite of my children. Because the top fits snugly on the boat, it's helpful to know that you can remove it by turning the lock knob 180 degrees and pulling up on the knob.
We bought it for our eight-year-old grandson's birthday because we were going to the lake with all of his cousins. It was a hit with him and the kids! We assumed it would be inexpensive based on the price. However, this is not the case! It's well-made (I'm impressed that it's made of stainless steel). Doesn't capsize (returns to upright immediately), the speed is perfect, and he can maneuver it right away! It can make a 180-degree turn on a dime! We'll be purchasing a second one for our 9-year-old grandson's birthday next month, as he adored his cousin's present! br>Excellent quality; the battery lasted more than 30 minutes (we bought a backup battery just in case, but we didn't need it!). ) This is the ideal size for small hands. But it was a hit with dad and grandpa as well! br>It's a definite must-have!.
It's a cool little boat that's a lot of fun to run around in. It comes with everything you need, including 4 AA batteries for the remote, a battery charger, a spare prop, and a stand to display it on, and it has led lights. It lasts 15 minutes and requires two people to complete. It takes 4 hours to charge, so getting a second battery from Amazon to double the fun is probably a good idea. The boat is not huge, measuring 12" long by 4" wide, but it is a good deal at $40. The level of service provided is unrivaled. I got my Bezgar 1 monster truck in 1/10 scale from the same company, and it's a blast for the low price of a "hobby grade" RC.
I just got this boat a few days ago, and my son was ecstatic when he saw it in the mail. I quickly opened the box and placed the battery on the charger so that we could get it out as soon as possible. br>br>We took it to a local park with a large pond in the middle, and of course, my little boy had to imitate the product video by grabbing the boat and throwing it as hard as he could through the air into the water. This is going to be a disaster, I thought. It went in head first, right side up, floating and ready to roll, but that was fine. br>br>This thing moves quickly and steers easily in my 4-year-old's hands. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts because it was around 37 degrees when we went out, and after 10 minutes, we were both frozen and ready to leave, but I'm excited to come back when it warms up and play again. br>br>This boat will be fantastic in the pond at my mother's swimming pool this summer. br>br>Next time we go out, I'll post pictures.
This little boat has a lot of zip and is a lot of fun to play with. I have no regrets about purchasing this boat, but it does have a few flaws. Using a recommended 2A charger, it takes two hours to charge the device. br>Second, the throttle can be turned on or off. It isn't proportional in any way. Third, removing the hatch for the first time resulted in it being damaged because it was stuck due to uncured paint. The black hatch is actually a yellow hatch that has been painted black to match my boat's color scheme. My boat, on the other hand, was put together before the paint had fully dried, and the soft paint had fused itself to the hull.
It travels at a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour. The battery takes 2 hours to charge. At the very least, you'll get 15 minutes if you go all out. My average run time is 20 minutes, and I run it at full throttle for the majority of that time. You'll get a warning and notice that it's slowing down before it dies. The reverse is a pain, but it handles well otherwise, and the LED lights are fantastic at night! So far, I've used it about a dozen times and I really like it. When they saw me using it, they went out and bought one right away.
I'm giving it one star because I bought two of these boats for my vacation to a lake with my family. I was ecstatic to be able to put them to use. They did an excellent job on the first day. Playing with them is a lot of fun. Following that, the boats would only travel at half their normal speed. I'm not sure why I can't get them to run at full speed. On the inside of the boats, there appears to be no damage. If anyone can assist in resolving this issue, I will give it a five-star rating.
