It does not, in fact. The light simply turns off when the battery is fully charged. Just remember to follow the instructions on the USB charger: 1amp - Input of 2 amps I went with a 2. When I used a 5 amp charger, the USB plug became extremely hot. It stayed at room temperature when charged at 1 amp. A 2 amp charger, on the other hand, will quickly charge the battery.
The batteries can be recharged using a USB port (the boat comes with one connector that must be plugged into a USB port), and it takes about an hour to recharge the batteries, give or take. I hope this information is useful.

It's simple, quick, and a lot of fun. This boat has left a lasting impression on me. Because the box stated that the game was for ages 14 and up, I did all of the directing and the boys (6 and 9) sat back and watched. However, I quickly realized how simple it was to operate, so I handed it over to the 9-year-old, who handled it admirably. My six-year-old did well as well, but I would suggest waiting until she is seven or eight years old. There are a lot of nice features on this boat. br>br>Let's start with the remote. There are two different speed settings to choose from. It isn't too bad that the speed is fast. I'd recommend the slow speed if you're going to use it in a pool. Because we use it on a lake, the high speed isn't an issue. You can use the remote to trim the boat if it's tracking to the left or right, which is great, but we don't find ourselves doing so very often because it's pretty straight out of the box and doesn't seem to get knocked out of alignment very easily. br>br>If it's close to the surface, it can pick up some moss, but we've always been lucky in that it just falls off when we get it back near the shore. It hasn't yet been wrapped up in the prop. But don't worry, the boat came with an extra prop in case something went wrong. br>br>The battery life is excellent. Each battery will probably take about 20 minutes to charge. It comes with two, which I appreciate in comparison to a couple of other DEERC R/C products I've purchased. When it comes to product design, they appear to keep realistic play time in mind. When it's time to return to shore, there's an audible beep that's easy to hear, so there's no confusion. They also don't take very long to charge, perhaps a couple of hours. br>br> The ability to right the ship is amazing. We don't use it very often because the boat is fairly stable, but if it does capsize, the self-righting system comes in handy. The boat's self-righting mechanism kicks in and the boat is back upright in a fraction of a second. It must have sensors that tell it to go somewhere. On the subject of sensors. br>br>IMPORTANT NOTE - The boat's bottom has a sensor that must be wet for it to work. So, if you take it out of the box, insert the battery, and try to test it when it's dry to see if it works, it won't. Simply submerge it in water and it will pair/work perfectly!br>br>I'm not sure what else to say. It's a hit with my son, and I'll be using it myself in the future. It's an excellent toy for a small pond or lake. I would strongly suggest it. DEERC has done it again with this one.
It's quick, turns on a dime, is simple to operate for people of all ages, and is a lot of fun to drive. Here are a few things I like about it:br>br>- Pistol grip remote – Almost all RC cars come with this type of remote. My children have experience with remote control cars and were able to figure out how to operate this boat almost immediately. The remote has a nice, solid weight to it, as well as a heavy bottom that allows it to stand upright without tipping. Many other boats have the older style remote, which my children don't seem to grasp as quickly, resulting in them turning the wrong way all of the time.
- It's a must to have both high and low speed! The remote has a button that toggles between high and low speed, which is extremely important for newcomers. You don't want to give this to someone who has never driven an RC vehicle before and have them crash into the beach rocks at full throttle. They can practice turning and controlling at a slower speed.
- Water- The motor is cooled, which prevents it from overheating.
- Large battery – The 1200mAh battery lasts for about 15 hours on this size boat. They also include a second battery that lasts for 20 minutes.
- Silicone Safety Nose – You'll notice a silicone cap on the front of your nose and wonder, "What is this for?" " But once you crash it head first into the bank a few times, you'll understand. " I'm sure the manufacturers got a lot of customer service calls about broken noses, so they included this soft cover, which I believe will help the boat last much longer.
- LED lights – On the back, there are a couple of red lights that look like taillights. You can use the remote to turn on and off the lights, as well as the blue lights on each side. At night, it might be interesting to try.
- Battery warning buzzer – Notifies you when it's time to return to shore, so you don't have to swim out to retrieve it when the battery runs out. br>br>Overall, a fantastic boat with a lot of features. It's well-made and enjoyable to drive, and it's also reasonably priced.
Batter lasts a long time, so he was able to replace it himself in the image. The boat is extremely fast. Controls are simple to operate. The only issue we had was that the boat has an autopilot that allows it to go in circles or figure 8s. . . but we couldn't get the figure 8 function to work. br>It's a tough boat! The boat ran into a patch of floating algae that got caught in the propeller while out on a pond outing! We made the boat go back and forth, back and forth, until we were able to get it to shore. Our old boat, I believe, would not have survived - That's exactly what this DEERC vessel did. The boat has a fantastic design. br>When the hull was opened after the game, there was ZERO water inside, which should help the boat last longer. Plus, the boat came fully assembled (we had to put the prop on the last boat, which was a little difficult). This is unquestionably a buy that should be considered.
I purchased this boat for one of my nephews as a present. I gave it to him over Memorial Day weekend, and we were able to get it out on a 12-inch vinyl record. For the first time, a acre lake was used. My nephews had a lot of fun racing around the lake in this. I'm not sure how far the remote's range is, but we were able to get it out to 250 yards with no problems, and the two speeds were useful for slowing it down for the younger kids. The box says operation is for 14, but we had 8 and 9-year-olds. year- (along with 5-year-olds) The boat can be operated by anyone (including children under the age of ten). The recommended age is almost certainly the age at which the boat should be opened to replace the battery. I'm thinking about buying an extra battery or two, because the kids were all taking turns and were disappointed when we used up the two batteries that came with the boat.
