This is an Easter toy I bought for my kids. It looked like a fun toy, and since we live near a community pool, I figured they could use it wet or dry. br>br>And now for the exciting part. It lasts approximately 20 minutes (as advertised), and the vehicle is fast on land, and it rarely gets stuck because it drives (top or bottom). br>br>Now for the bad news. A replacement battery is extremely difficult to come by. It claims to use a JST connector, but I haven't been able to find one on Amazon that is "compatible. " JST isn't a standard, and there are several variations available if you search for it on Google. Of course, since I'm good with small electronics and wiring, I could just make my own, but I haven't gotten that far yet. br>br>Another disadvantage (and a significant one) is that this vehicle is capable of being submerged. It's also mobile. However, after about 3-minutes, it stops working. Without the remote, one or both sets of wheels will continue to spin for 5 minutes. It's as if there's water in it, causing the electronics to malfunction. If you don't let the car dry, it won't stop. br>br>So it's a decent remote control car, but I bought it for the wet/dry feature, but it only works on land, so I would have bought something else if I had known.
It works well in a variety of environments, including water, grass, and the ground. The battery was fully charged in a very short period of time. Also, the battery has a decent life span. I'd recommend it!.
I followed the directions (which were not difficult at all). Over the course of the night, I charged the battery and installed it in the case. The screw driver was used to firmly close the casing. In the pool, place the small aqua car. It was 7 seconds long in total. after which he passed away I was just looking for a new game to play in the pool with the dogs. I'm glad I'm not five years old anymore. I was on the verge of crying. A return is unimportant to the dogs. I'm done.
This vehicle performs admirably on land, including in wet conditions. It works on water for a few seconds and then stops working, as others have noted. My son ran it in a pool this summer for the first time. For the first few feet, it worked perfectly, but then it stopped. The advertising and marketing are the best aspects of this car. br>br>There is, in essence, no warranty. To make a warranty claim, try to locate the manufacturer or the seller (company). "Please contact the seller directly for warranty information for this product, or you may be able to find warranty information on the manufacturer's website," according to Amazon. Translation: you're on your own, good luck. Warning: br>br> Do not immerse in water that is more than 2 inches deep; It will stop working if you don't do this.
This is a really cool RC car. It was a little too advanced for me, but my 6-year-old was able to get around it quickly and easily. Due to health concerns, we have not yet tested it in the water. However, it was speeding around our back yard, which has uneven terrain and numerous bumps and steps. The remote control will require batteries.
My grandson loved this toy so much that he only got to play with it for about 5 hours, but he wanted to play with it again when he came to visit this past weekend and it wouldn't budge. I would have returned it if I hadn't been so ashamed, but that period has passed. I'm out about $35. He left it at my house because he has too many toys, but he really enjoyed this fast-moving fun toy, and I'm sorry it broke; I'd buy another one if I could, but I'm not going to.
My grandson is enthralled by his new remote control car, though he is having some difficulty getting it to go straight. My issue with it is that he'll have to have an adult replace the battery whenever it dies. 2 small screws must be unscrewed before the cover can be removed. I would have looked for something he could swap the battery with if I had known. Better yet, just have a charging cable on hand for when it's time to charge.
The car is fun to drive, it goes pretty fast, and the remote works fine. br>br>However, the battery life is less than five minutes, and it takes a long time to charge, which seriously detracts from the fun. br>br>I'll have to figure out how to get a new battery - It's essentially a low-cost "AA" battery that can be recharged.
