This item is made in China. It makes sense; if it were made in the United States, it would be much more expensive; I've had mine for over a year and it's survived numerous extreme wrecks into rocks and logs. It's still working the same way it did when it was first installed. I looked on the internet but couldn't find anything about the country of origin; the controller and boat are both marked "made in China."

My grandson and I use it at our lake house, and we probably go out at least 500 feet.

Christmas presents for my mother-in-law, husband, and son. They went over extremely well! A rather amusing phenomenon has occurred to me: Every grown man within range of these boats reverts to a childlike state. br>br>Unfortunately, one of the boats had a rudder problem. The company provides excellent and prompt customer service; they assisted in troubleshooting the issue and, when that failed, sent out a new bot to replace the broken one. br>br>I would strongly advise!.
This is a lot of fun. It's fairly quick, and the range exceeds my expectations. You don't want to go too far because it gets difficult to see. When you rock it back and forth between forward and reverse, it will automatically right itself if you flip it. It's entertaining! The following summer, I edited it. . . . Last summer, I wrote a review for this book. I wanted to get the boat out after it sat in the house for the winter after we went to the lake a couple of times this summer. I charged the boat batteries and replaced the remote batteries, but it still doesn't work. 90 dollars is a little excessive for something that will only be used ten times or so. I was a bit let down. If you don't mind paying $90 for a season, go ahead and buy it, but be aware that after it sits for a while, you might find yourself rowing.
Do not be fooled by the self-righting description. It flipped over in the lake the first time I used it. I had to go out and get it by swimming.
When I was putting it together, the battery wouldn't turn on when we plugged it in, and it quickly heated up to the point of blowing up. Because the battery was rapidly heating up, we had to remove it quickly. We tried both of the batteries, and neither of them worked. I would advise against purchasing this because it has the potential to cause a fire or property damage. I was looking for a boat to drive and thought this one looked interesting, but it is completely unsuitable, so do not purchase it.
This is a Christmas present for someone. Last spring, I purchased a yellow boat for my grandson, who adores it. During the spring and summer, they were on the Mississippi almost every day, so the boat saw a lot of action and is still in good shape. His family has six children, so I figure anything that lasts two weeks must be good. made. All of our expectations have been exceeded.
In both of these areas, I can confidently say that Altair is a top-tier firm. The AA102 is a lot of fun for both kids and adults, and Altair's customer service was excellent when I needed to purchase additional parts. I would strongly advise others to use Altair and the AA102!.
While it was working, I absolutely loved the boat. It was used four times in total. The boat is now oblivious to the fact that it is afloat. The remote will not work with it. In addition, the safety feature that prevents the propellar from spinning when it is removed from the water no longer works. I was fortunate in that I had purchased the insurance.
The batteries are fully charged, and this little boat moves at a breakneck speed. The nose bumper is a boat saver; after the first round of charging batteries, one battery refused to charge; the supplier sent out a new boat; in the meantime, the battery decided to charge; the battery received the new boat and both were kept. It's worth it; once you get the tabs working properly, it's a blast in the pool; my son and I have races where we collide or hit the wall, but the clock keeps ticking.
