That's my opinion. It was a present for my son, so I bought it for him. He is a Gundam fan, but not because of the show, but because of the models. It's possible that it's because of our international travel. He wanted to build his gundam models and play with them when most children were playing with army men. He has been playing with them since he was seven years old. It was well worth the money in terms of both price and quality. It can withstand being played with by a seven-year-old child. Fyi - Expect the sword to break or get lost if you get one with a sword, but you won't have that problem with this model if you play with it on a regular basis.

It's a decent kit, but you have to consider its age; this kit was designed in 1995, and it was typical of the 1/144 scale standards of the time; it doesn't compare to modern high grades, but it's your only option until Bandai releases a modern HGAC Deathscythe. Advantages: br>br> The Gundam Deathscythe is modelled in 1/144 scale. br>The scythe blade is attached to a hinge and can be moved vertically. The elbows can bend backwards, allowing for approximately 140 degrees of elbow articulation. br>br>Neutral: br>The hands are made of polycap plastic in a single piece. They can be made to look acceptable with a small pit of panel lining, but not much more. Because the weapon is made of a single piece of softer plastic, it won't slip around in your hand. br>br>Cons: br>The head is a little big for the scale, but it looks fine when compared to other kits in this line. br>The light grey sections of the front skirt Armour are covered in fairly large stickers. If you're used to modern High Grade kits, the simplicity of this one might be a letdown. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> It's fine, but there's nothing more to it. Because this is the only 1/144 scale Deathscythe that isn't a Deathscythe hell (the upgraded version of the Deathscythe), you have to buy it or go without it.
When the anime first aired, I purchased this. It's the Gundam Wing's Gundam that I like the most.
