This is only the builder's kit; no electronics are included. To have everything else, you'd need to buy an esc, a motor, a servo, a battery, and a rx/tx. There are no electronics or a body included with it.
Any number between 1/10 and 12 3 body.
If you cut a piece of the battery tray to make the motor longer. cheers.
To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it because it has extremely low gears and isn't particularly fast, even with a large motor.

After months of trying to resurrect my old Radio Shack Desert Viper and having it break every time I tried to use it despite replacing nearly everything, I gave up and ordered a kit. br>br>I'm glad I chose this one because nearly all of the parts are metal, and unlike the "Ready to Run" version of the SCX10 II, the kit includes an all metal transmission. I was able to transfer all of my upgraded electronics from my previous build to this one, and I was ecstatic to discover that the old Desert Viper body shell would fit. Now I can have my old retro RC car back, but on a more modern, reliable platform that doesn't break all the time. My only criticism of this kit is that the car is slow when stock, but it has a lot of torque for crawling and can easily push chairs, furniture, and stacks of wood out of the way. This kit includes the LTX transmission and is incompatible with the two-speed upgrade kits available, which is a bummer. I eventually installed a Titan T12 motor and a 17-tooth spur gear, which significantly increased the speed of the machine.
I took my time and tried to follow the instructions as closely as possible during the process, which took me about 16 hours. The shock assembly proved to be the most difficult part for me. My advice to anyone building these shocks is to use vice grips to hold the rod in place while screwing on the end mount. The suspension links were the other difficult part for me, and I recommend turning the link ends with two small screwdrivers. Overall, it was a fun build that wasn't too difficult; however, I've heard that buying expensive hex screwdrivers will prevent any heads from being stripped. I just wanted to mention that I used a set of wal-mart hyper tough hexes for this. I've never stripped a screw in my entire life. I took a photo of what I used, and it worked perfectly for me. This kit is ideal for anyone who wants to build their own crawler from the ground up, complete with their own body, wheels, and electronics.
Reading through the reviews I discovered something: people significantly overestimate their mechanical skills, this kit requires complete assembly, the shocks, the transmission, EVERYTHING, I recommend the ready to% With that said, this kit is fantastic! The SCX10 II is simple, light, and tough, which is why I bought it for my build. The directions are clear, everything was there, and there are a lot of option parts included. Aside from that, the parts are included in the box if you want to convert to a full four-link front end. I strongly advise anyone with the necessary skills to construct it to do so.
I like it all, this was my first trail / crawler build, and I did a lot of research. However, when ordering, I didn't realize the kit had been revamped, and it doesn't support much after market stuff. It uses old transmissions ax 10 3 gear, and axles are 1 piece rtr axles for a $200 kit, it's not worth it.
There aren't any portals or anything like that. Good kit. Diff gears are metal, but they're a pain to work with until they're cut in. Other than poor quality, there's no reason for this. The servo is also tucked in tight under the panhard bar, which is a minor issue. It was necessary to shim the servo, which was not a major issue. The steering is excellent, as is the overall performance. This chassis is fantastic for scale. Although not quite as good as trx sport, it's a close second.
The kit is well-made and presented. br>It's all very well documented. That is all there is to it. It's not fun and it's not easy to put together. I work with CNC machines, and this kit is proving to be difficult for me. After four hours, I had the axels and transfer case assembled. This is something I would never do again.
I should've bought a different builder's kit. This device is a waste of time. Make sure you don't throw your money away!.
Love it.
