Questions & Answers

Is it possible to paint or decal the clear bodies? Was the underside of the mold painted if it was painted?

Yes, you should paint it from the inside out, and be sure to thoroughly clean it. Dish soap and warm water should be used. Using a paper towel or a microfiber cloth, wipe the surface dry. Also, be sure to use lexan-specific paint. It is not if it does not say so on the can. It'll simply fall apart.

I understand that this is for the Bandit, but since the Bandit and the Rustler share a chassis, will it fit a Rustler?

Yes. It's the same chassis; however, the Rustler front body mount will need to be removed. The Bandit body attaches to the servo mount, which is a small squarish tab on the front piece. On the internet, there are photos of the Rustler with Bandit bodies.

Is this body compatible with the Bandit VXL?

This is, without a doubt, the correct body for any Bandit.

Is this compatible with models 2410 and 2406?

It's for the Traxxas Bandit, and the part number is TRA24076.

In this case, there isn't much leeway for error. It was a perfect fit for the car, and the paint didn't peel off. So far, it's kept the rc's internals safe during flips and rolls.

For my older son's birthday, I bought him a Bandit, and my younger son was ecstatic. So I made a new one out of a broken Bandit that I had received and repaired. The fact that the shell had already been cut is fantastic. The majority of the shells I've painted in the past haven't been. Washing, scuffing, and applying three paint schemes and stickers took about 5 hours in total. When I run out of this one, I'll definitely buy another.
