A special set of drivers has been prepared for the RC model assembly. The M, L, and flathead screwdrivers are included as well 5 blade screwdrivers, each with a different shape. 1 x 15 mm and 7 x 21 mm box wrenches, 5 mm and 7 mm. The 3 mm, 5 mm, and 2 mm are present on these buttons. The kit contains a 5 mm hex wrench and a grip that can be detached. The device also comes with a driver's stand and transparent cover so it can be handled and stored conveniently.
It is recommended that you have a TAMIYA RC. Tamiya has the perfect sizes for their remote control kits. Screws are held in place by magnets

The screws are JIS, and they work just as well with It has been over two years now since I purchased my set, and the JIS drivers still work flawlessly. As well as the drivers, they are all coated. Though the hex drivers in this kit are not the best (I much prefer my metal handle MIP drivers), the JIS drivers alone are worth the investment.

It is hard to believe it has taken me this long to get this tool set (30 years, if you include the 25 years it took to get back into the hobby as an adult). I built a Super Hotshot re-imagined a few months ago With the gun smith tool set I've had for many years, I've been able to release the barrel. There were moments when I knew I needed to have a more defined purpose, even if it only worked for completing the task A tool set that is designed. I also started the build of the Blackfoot 2016 kit a few weeks ago. Having completed my model Blackfoot just one day after receiving this Tamiya tool set, I soon found that this kit is indispensable. With the few minutes it took us to finish the body assembly using the new tools, I immediately realized it was.
It goes without saying that these tools are a must-have if you work on RC cars, especially Tamiya products. I usually use the typical off the shelf screwdrivers. It never occurred to me that we need to use JIS screw drivers, which have a much better bite. I had already stripped a lot of screws with regular screw drivers as a kid. A nice feature to this set is the attachment piece which provides longer reach and more hand strength.
You really don't realize how handy having all the necessary tools are until you start building Tamiya model cars. The Tamiya screws are so different from other screws that I have been using other small sets of screws to bind them up, but having a screwdriver specifically designed for them is a big deal. A copy of mine is sitting on my desk and I can't move it! Not only do I use it for Tamiya cars, but I use it for a variety of other things as well. The Tamiya car building, restoration, or repair booklet is a must buy if you are planning to build a Tamiya model car.
The fact that I waited so long to get correct Tamiya drivers after building kits for so many years is beyond me. The heads on these screws are virtually unaffected by stripping and are an excellent match for Tamiya screws. I definitely think it was worth the price.
I was hesitant to purchase due to the price, but I decided to go ahead. As far as I'm concerned, these parts are unnecessary, as I've been building Tamiya RCs for years without them. I did not know what I was doing. The screws fit well in the head, which means that fewer or no stripped screws occur when building with them. As an added bonus, it can also be used as a tee handle if desired. After many builds, I am very pleased with this set. Until next time, I won't say anything negative about these. I will probably purchase another set even though they have not even begun to show wear. If you want to try it, I suggest you buy it and give it a go. I can't be more pleased with how well it has worked for me.
It is a must for assembling Tamiya kits to have these tools. Their perfect fit makes everything considerably easier, in addition to fitting everything exactly as intended. A standard Phillips driver will not fit any of the screws in the kits, despite the fact that they seem to fit. The screws that are included with the kits are in fact JIS spec screws. tool is very well built. They are also very well designed and the handle fits very well in one's hand. It's essential to have a JIS screw driver for Tamiya models. The tools make such a difference that I did not realize that. The settings of my Snap-ons or MAC Phillips would never be correct, so I could get so annoyed with them. It is very comfortable to wear this Tamiya set.
