There is no need for glue since it is fully assembled. Each of these bookcases is an individual piece, meaning that they may be stacked and arranged however you see fit. Plastic of a dark brown color is flat and comes in the package.

Can you tell me how big the scale is? The following would be a good option Is a 48 or an O scale better suited for trains?

28mm scale means it is one sixth of an inch. The items I've used for my 28mm war games were in O scale. If you add in a 28mm figure height to the base, it usually looks good.
