Hi there! That is an excellent question. DUPLO® bricks can be placed on a LEGO® baseplate. In many ways, the two types of pieces are compatible, so you can use them together to create amazing things. Visit LEGO for more information on how the pieces fit together. Look up "DUPLO" at com/Service/Help. br>br>Congratulations on your new structure! br>Emily, LEGO® Customer Service

When four of these 10" x 10" plates are placed on an Ikea "Lack" side table, a nice Lego work surface for young builders is created. There are some knock-offs that are less costly. There are knock-off versions of the baseplates available, but the reviews (warping, poor fit, etc. ) are enough to put me off. As a result, the table itself will set you back $10 - The plates are about $40 (the price varies by color for some reason!). br>br>Here's a tip if you decide to build one of these. To make a 20" x 20" plate, use a lot of Legos to connect the plates. That way, when the glue dries, the "pips" will be perfectly aligned, allowing you to build across from one plate to the next.
Brickers were unable to add to and/or begin their water scenes as a result of this, putting the LEGO world in a bind. br>br>Beginning in 2018, all of that has changed. br>br>This baseplate is of the same high quality that we've come to expect from LEGO, and it will undoubtedly complement your LEGO city and/or scene. Please be aware that there are other knock-on effects that you should be aware of. There are some off-brand blue baseplates available, but they aren't of the same quality or fit as well as LEGO baseplates. While the lower price may be appealing, you risk sacrificing quality, fit, and/or color. br>br>This is the standard size for a baseplate. (32 x 32 studs) 10" x 10" You can use a standard blue lego plate 1 x 2 (the flat piece with two studs) or a 2 x 2 to connect the baseplates in their respective corners if you decide to piece together several of these baseplates. This helps keep everything in place and keeps the baseplates from moving around. See the illustration for more information. br>br>Now is the time to get your hands on some of these blue baseplates, because you never know when LEGO will stop making them. I had an old coffee table that I wanted to transform into a LEGO table, so I used these LEGO base plates to create a table top for the legos to build on. I bought eight of these and glued them to the coffee table's glass insert with gorilla glue. It came out just right! Affordably priced and long lasting LEGO table that is sturdy. We had an old particle board cheap table before we built this DIY table, and it was so much better.
The quality is excellent, and none of the off-brands I've tried have ever fit as well as Legos. Prices are usually a little high, but I believe it was a couple dollars off, so it was a good deal, and I'm pretty sure Legos, cockroaches, and water bears will be the only things left after the end of the world. If I had one criticism, it would be that the connections between multiple boards could be improved. However, it's a fantastic foundation to build on.
Because I am not comfortable with any other cutting tool, I had to cut the base plates with scissors. I found cutting them through to be fairly simple, though I may have cut them a little crookedly. I created a great base for my project by using a strong double-sided stick tape. br>Note- Because some reviewers said they were difficult to cut, I avoided non-lego brands.
br>In an attempt to save money, I purchased plates in bulk from a no-name brand, which proved to be a costly mistake. br>Do not purchase imitation plates with smooth bumps that appear nice. br>Your pieces will pop out or be difficult to place. They're a jumble of messes. br>If you can afford hundreds of dollars worth of Legos, you can afford these $5 plates.
TL; DR - The baseplate is extremely flimsy. It's not the same kind of LEGO that you'd find in a store. br>br>This is the first time I've ever had a LEGO baseplate. I got a table that resembled the LEGO MOVIE (I) in size. A much more compact version is available. br>br>So I expected it to be quite durable, especially since my kids were just regular kids - Toys should be handled with care. Unfortunately, this baseplate was quite fragile. It bent easily with little effort, and when it arrived in a bubble envelope, I mistook it for a book I'd ordered. In any case, you could see it bend in its own light weight if you grabbed it in a horizontal position. It's about a sixteenth of an inch thick and isn't made of the tough LEGO plastics. Adults and older children will enjoy it, but small children will not (due to rough handling).
This is a fantastic little item that relieves pain in your feet. I assumed it was the larger mat because I didn't read the description carefully. It's not. Only the grey ones, which cost around $14, appear to be the larger ones. This is ideal for a toddler who is just getting into Legos, and the price is also great.
