Legos have become my son's obsession. The fact that there isn't much in the box is why I didn't give it five stars. To make it a circle, we needed two of these and three of a different kind. In my opinion, Lego has made a d*ck move.

We have the passenger train set, which consists of four straight pieces and two half circles that form an oval. The switch track set is nice, but there isn't enough track to complete a layout; you'll need four additional straight pieces to finish a track. You also get four curved pieces, but only two of them are required for the switch tracks, and the other two are unused. What could possibly motivate them to do something like that? There are only six loose pieces in the box; It doesn't appear to be the standard Lego box.

It will change the tracks for you. It's a switch track, and it functions properly. When you approach from the front, the yellow lever will divert your train in the direction you set. The track is spring-loaded, so regardless of which direction you set it to, it will continue on its way without derailing when approached from behind. br>br>It's LEGO, so you know you're getting a good product, and they'll replace anything that's broken or missing from any of your sets if it's broken or missing.

It's also overpriced for the amount of plastic included. If you want to build an interesting layout with lego trains, expect to spend hundreds of dollars on track. Duplo trains and track are in the same boat. The duplo trains, on the other hand, provided my children with years of entertainment. which are still fully functional and will, presumably, be passed down to future generations We're just starting to use lego trains in our classroom. We're going to do it, but the price isn't to my liking.

or have twice as much track. Because Lego trains aren't very common, and there isn't a lot of flexibility in the Lego track world in terms of turn diameter and other parameters, this is a niche product. These work great, but they're overpriced, even by Lego standards.

An outer box was not included in the shipment. The Lego box was half-built when it arrived. It was crushed, as if it had been stepped on. Although the end was open, none of the pieces had fallen out, which I suppose is a positive. Unless you get one that makes it through the journey unscathed, I wouldn't recommend it as a gift.

Switches add interest to the track, particularly when there are multiple trains. Following the construction, my son lives to drive trains on tracks, where he must watch, plan, and navigate to avoid collisions. Adding switches to the track simply adds to the excitement of the trains' journey.
