All in all, it was a cute/fun activity that was not very messy. In some cases, it was hard getting the sand into certain areas of the unicorns and I had to use scissors to expand the area near the head. Because of the way the containers are shaped, it is almost impossible to get an even sand layer to cover them. However, my girls still enjoyed this craft, even though I had to assist them more than I expected.
There is no sand in this area, and the statues are small. A small ring that fits in the palm of my hand. Mark's marks are left on all three of them due to rubbing. The glitter that I found in another bag under all the tape must have been opened since it was all over the place. As well as yellow sand, there was also yellow water. (Have I received a return box that was not.
My only complaint is that the sand we received was green and red, not the red and green described. In reality, the gold glitter was leaking, and the bag itself had been repacked. There's no doubt about it - I was.
Even though the yellow sand is bagged up, it still got out. All of it got covered in it. Someone kicked the box, as if it was deliberately done.
It's the thing they love most to do.
As a gift for my daughter's friend who just turned 6 I bought the book. Her love of crafts and unicorns leads me to believe she'll enjoy it. . . everything looks just like in the picture.
Making this was easy, but doing some parts of it was challenging. There should have been more colors included in this set for my daughter.
The world of Unicorns is a novelty to my granddaughter, so I thought it would be great to find something different for her. The result was just what I had hoped for. It'd be great to give them to her for Christmas and I can't wait till she gets them. This will be a very exciting time for her.
