This product appeals to me far more than the NatGeo knockoff, and it is, surprisingly, more environmentally friendly than the NatGeo version. The first is made of sand, while the second is made of a foam material. The bag didn't work for us when it came to the claimed airtight storage. It collects sand in the seal groove and won't close after a while, so get a big storage bowl for it. This was used to make a sand castle with a moat for my child, and That quickly turned into a sticky mess that left a light blue water ring in my bathtub for a month. When it was wet, we couldn't get the sand off of us. However, after drying out, the product returned to normal, albeit a little rougher than before. I like the texture and feel of this, but I despise sand farming, which you can learn more about here. Overall, this is an excellent product, and I would not consider purchasing any other imitation version. I'd also like to point out that the NatGeo version isn't very good. This one has a great deal of shape retention. In terms of the cleanability rating, it is simple to clean up in a setting with few small particles. You can make a ball that sticks up any other sand you press it onto, as advertised, but this is difficult for my preschooler. Furthermore, small items that are mixed in remain in the mix. I'm talking about pet hair, dirt, bird seed, soil, dander, dust, and so on. If you use it inside, make sure the person doing the cleaning knows how to do the ball trick, and make sure the environment is dust-free. Otherwise, use outside and simply spray any small bits of sand that get separated off the porch or patio. You won't be able to get it off a broom if you use one.
This was a gift for my 7-year-old daughter, and I love it just as much as she does. It's easy to clean up, and it's extremely satisfying. We just put it in a ziploc bag to keep it from drying out when she's finished playing. It's a lot of fun doing this!.
This set was purchased as a Christmas present for my three-year-old son. year- sensory play is a favorite pastime of my 7-year-old niece with special needs. br>Because the other sets wouldn't arrive until after Christmas, I purchased a set that was on sale on Amazon. It was marked down because it had a "minor cosmetic flaw on the top, front, or sides of the item. " It also stated that the package would be delivered in its original packaging, but that the package may be damaged. That was fine with me because I could easily move everything to another box if necessary. br>However, I received not only a damaged box, but also a product that had been completely used. br>The sand was in a ziplock bag, with a significant amount missing. In and on the plastic sandbox, there is sand and a sticky goop. Something has been caked onto the molding toys as well. br>I'm not sure how this could have been returned, let alone resold. This product has left me feeling very let down.
This is an adorable set. In our house, it has been used by 11-year-olds, 8-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and even adults! There isn't a lot of sand in the set, but it's enough to fill a few molds at once. I wish the plastic tub had a lid to keep all of the molds and sand contained (perhaps as a carry case). Although it does not dry, it is a little difficult to store so that nothing falls out. However, it would make a lovely gift for someone who enjoys the beach. All year long, you'll get good vibes.
My grandchildren loved their sand, and my grandson with ADHD played with it longer than any other toy he owns. So I bought one as a gift.
The sand was purple, and it came in a large plastic bag that was ready to be dumped into the tray. Three sand molds, a sand castle, a crab, and a turtle are among the items on the table. Although there is no lid, we always put each color into its own zip lock bag. For a ten-year-old, this book is fantastic.
Our kids have a lot of toys, but this is one of their favorites! Kinetic sand is addictively fun for kids of all ages! br>I like that the fun is contained in a plastic box. When I put away the sand, I do so in a ziplock bag.
It was a gift for my granddaughter, and she absolutely adores it!.
