It's hard to find molds in other places on Amazon that work better than the cookie cutters that come with this product. Children like to play with kinetic sand, but the pusher thing doesn't do much for them, since it mixes up the sand. Colors are more attractive to kids when they are separated. Honestly, this is worth it just for the nice case. It separates the sand better than the mini sand molds sold elsewhere on Amazon. My grand daughter actually preferred the mini sand molds sold elsewhere. Adding kinetic sand to a sealable paper bin was much more fun. I also bought little sand molds, which added a lot Even so, this is a nice and fun game. This case is great. It comes with sand in three different colors.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for twins aged 6 years old. Brightly colored and pleasant to the touch, sand is a great addition to a beach getaway. If you don't do all the clever striping, the sand will also shoot out the top, but that's not that exciting. It is a great product and the grandson enjoys it very much. It came with a damaged carrying case for the kinetic sand playset. Located in an oversized box without any packing, and it was in an oversized box, not even packaged. This caused the case to crack in several places after the playset banged around inside the box during shipping. His little fingers were pinched in the cracks when he tried to release the clips to open the case. He was so eager to play with the sand, and it was a gift from me. I was going to return it, but he was so eager to play with it. Please use boxes that are as close to the item size as possible, and when this is not possible please at least include packing to prevent damage to products.

Playing with it takes up a lot of time for kids. Sand does not dry out with its own case, and it also doesn't have to be carried around. Adding sand to the pile is fun! They each have their own sand to buy.
Store it in a large plastic container with a tight fitting lid for playing & learning The storage space. In my experience, children under the age of 6 should not use it.
It would also make an excellent gift for any child. Even at 40, I have a lot of fun playing with it. I love it!.
