My kids loved this when I bought it so I had no idea how much they would like it. It smells really good when you're in the sand. This smell is very pleasing, although I am not sure what it is. This beach mat comes with the unit, but we store it in the tray so it's easy to clean. The tape will not stick to anything but sand, so that is a good thing. This comes with a set of molds and plastic cutters, so my kids can play with it all day long. One of the highlights is that there is a large amount of glitter in the set, and the kids loved making the sand sparkle by mixing in the glitter. I found it surprising that only the glitter stuck to the sand and not elsewhere. The case comes with this product, so I put everything back in and put the cover on and store it. The case is awesome. It's been over a month now and the sand hasn't come out of it. I recommend it.
It was a birthday present for my granddaughter. The variety of color combinations this sand isn't available in is disappointing to me. The only thing I can find is baking, ice cream, or this mermaid set. There is a plastic mat included with it. I liked the one I found for her brother better because it had a sandbox, but it will work with the mat as well. Quite a few molds and tools are included, so that's a good set to have. It will be appreciated by her, I'm sure.

I was worried about the smell, but I was pleasantly surprised. There is an extremely strong aroma to it. The smell is that of an overly perfumed deodorizer. Outside is the best place to play with it! It seems that the odor will diminish with time, but we just opened it today, so I don't know what to expect.
It was great fun playing with the kinetic sand as soon as we unwrapped it! On a reward day, we're ready to add a little sparkle! The amount of time we could spend on this kid during AVA therapy is impressive! Having the picnic table play mat is awesome. When we play outside we can go outside and play too. The storage area could be more secure as the system is not 100% There are so many things for the little to create and build and learn that they can open it without you seeing it. In overall, it's a great tool for the little to enjoy and You can introduce your little one to kinetic sand in this perfect set up.
The rest of the product is fun for toddlers. This was ordered for my 3 year old son who loved the sand, the colorful playmat and the Since it was damaged and broken upon delivery, there is no use for the storage case. The lid will not close or hold its contents, which means I have to buy a new.
