Questions & Answers

In what dimensions are they? Measure the height of the uprights, the spacing between shelves, and the thickness of the shelf from the back of the riser to the front of the I appreciate it. ?

A total of 24 vertical bars can be seen. A 5 is. There are 13 bars in the horizontal graph. There is a thickness of 5" and a depth of 12" on the shelf. (An inch is taken into account for the width of the Each shelf has a distance of approximately 7".

In order to attach the uprights, why would washers be used?

Despite its size, this rack is capable of holding substantial It is essential to attach the uprights to the wall using strong anchors. A well-anchored horizontal column wraps around the uprights and is well anchored to them. The uprights and the wall are spaced much closer together than a standard By positioning the washer away from the wall, the uprights are spaced a bit further away from the wall.

The space between the horizontal arms (up and down) can be adjusted, right? Is it possible for you to take one or two arms off as needed?

Without drilling a new screw into each arm and moving the screw below each arm, the arms cannot be adjusted. I agree with the idea of removing any arm.

Approximately how far are the fitting holes from each other in the vertical direction?

A total of 14 holes are provided for mounting. The center/center of the circle is 5". Although I had a difficult time measuring due to the weight of wood on the rack, I'm confident that the measurement is with in 1/8" to 1/4" of accuracy.

The product is good, but the listing is awful
4/5

The lag screws and other hardware required for the build are not included with this listing (in two places). Instead, buy them separately when you order these, or pick out some at the hardware store while you wait for shipment to arrive. After I bought the screws, I had to stop my install to buy more. This listing has been deducted a star due to its inaccuracy. I had to use 1/4 X 4 timber screws for my installation, since I had drywall over studs. The black uprights look good with these bolts since they are a bit more expensive than lag bolts despite having a slightly more aggressive thread. If I had to install drywall with 3" screws, I would not use these since they leave very little screw in This is the second set I bought, and I wanted to adjust the four uprights so that they were exactly positioned relative to one another. It was natural for me to make a jig, but maybe by describing it, others will be able to install it as well. Then, I lined up the bottom of the rack against a 1/2 x 3" x 4' cutoff and marked the position on the vertical level line where I wanted the low end of the rack to be. Then, where there is about 1/4" of screw sticking out the back of the upright, I attached it to the wood with a #8 wood screw. To mark the screw holes, I marked the studs by drawing a vertical line using a chalk line and then held the jig against the ceiling with the screw points on the line. There is no need for the marks to be exactly on the line they should be close enough as reference points. After drilling through the line at the same height as the reference marks, I drilled through to the other side. The process of finding the studs, logging them, and drilling them took no longer than 10 minutes. Upon checking, the four bars appeared to be level across the board. My jig was so much easier to use than trying to place the holes manually that even if I only needed to install two uprights, I would still use it. The horizontal bars fit around the upright, therefore spacers are needed to hold the upright away from the wall because the bars fit around the upright. Round and indented in the front, they are meant to hold up the upright post. They have a habit of turning with the screw, and if they start turning out of alignment, you have to back the screws out, align the spacers, and start the process As long as you have tiny fingers, you may not be able to hold the spacers in alignment while tightening the screws. It worked best if the screws were threaded through the uprights, then I could slip the spacesr over the screws and attach them to the post with a small amount of CA glue. Keeping the spacers aligned and the screws from falling out was also facilitated by this. After installation I loaded several 10-gigabyte hard drives using Windows 10 The dimensions of the area are 2x6 and A pair of 2x4s plus a couple of 6s I have 18-ft lengths of the same material, as well as my long long pieces of rough The woods are sawn, and there are a lot of moldings. All the weight I threw at the racks held up without creaking, nor did any of the components flex under the load. I have been very pleased with the design and performance of the racks, and I would happily bump to 5 stars if I ever notice that the listing needs to incorporate a statement stating that the buyer is required to provide.

This is a great rack made of wood! A sturdy wood rack like this is available
5/5

Additionally, the installation and assembly of the device is very straightforward. It took about 30 minutes to mount the aluminum, steel, and round plastic brackets to the framing studs with a 5/16" x 4" structural washer head screw the holes in all three pieces had to be drilled out 1/16" larger to accommodate the larger screws. Although the instructions call for 1/4" x 3" lag screws, I used larger screws since I wanted something a little stronger. Usually, the mounting screws need a significant amount of length in order to sink far enough in a 1-inch hole by the time they have gone through the vertical steel bar, the plastic spacer, and the 1/2 " to 3/4" sheetrock. Measure 1/2" x 3" The framing stud is 1/2" thick. The vertical brackets are mounted 5 feet apart, which makes it possible to secure lumber up to 6 feet and 8 feet long. Lumber of any shorter length can be stacked on top of lumber of any longer length. It appears that little sheet metal screws that hold the horizontal shelf brackets in place are the most vulnerable point of the wood rack, but so far these seem to be holding up fine. You should definitely purchase this sturdy wood rack if you have lumber that is on the ground and you want to get the lumber organized.

Rack made of sturdy materials
5/5

I needed a rack that worked perfectly for what I needed. In the end, I had to use small lag screws instead of the regular ones that came with it to get a better grip on the studs, but other than that, I have.

Good quality, easy to assemble
5/5

A sturdy rack for a reasonable price. I used SPAX 1/4 x 4 PowerLag screws and they worked just fine. There are others who've mentioned using 4" screws when drilling into drywall and studs.

However, they are not as strong as I would like
5/5

This wood rack set is a perfect way to store extra material before cutting it down to size. I purchased two of them for storing extra material from projects I'm working on. They were easy to assemble and are well built. The only complaint I have is that the mounting hardware is not included. I ran to the hardware store and picked up a lag screw measuring 1/4" long and 3 1/2" wide as well as some washers when I noticed others had pointed this out as well. As soon as the pilot holes were drilled, a ratchet and the lag screws were used to install them. I used eight lag screws since I bought 2 racks, so if you buy four levels/shelves you will need four lag screws for each set (I needed eight since I bought two racks).

Fasteners for mounting to the wall are not included
3/5

Contrary to the product description that states "2 vertical bars, 8 horizontal bars, and mounting hardware", the mounting fasteners are not included with the product. Adding to that, I agree with others that the recommended 3" fasteners provide only a minimal grip to the studs, keeping in mind the thickness of the drywall. A 3. 0 is appropriate given the load capacity. It has a 5" length which should provide much more grip.

Solutions that are worth pursuing
5/5

I decided to go with the smaller size since I only have a single car garage for my shop. It was pretty Other reviewers have pointed out that you'll need some 3 1/2 to 4 inch lag bolts (not included) to mount the device. However, I still prefer to choose my own screws or bolts since I prefer to work with things I know. It's just a matter of being fussy. I feel that this is an extremely solid product once it is I really could have sworn I waited so long to implement something like this, but now that I have it installed and stocked with all my wood, I wish I hadn't.

Please be cautious about the weight tolerances listed on the website. My things are now much easier to find and I've saved a lot of space as a result. The product is exactly what I was looking for.
