Unlike many doorbells and other devices, the IP Doorbell comes with a SPDT relay that can activate any gate opener that needs a contact closure to operate. There is not a standard way to place holes on 'goosenecks' positioned at the gate because many are custom built. It is easy to drill a hole in the metal backplate of the IP Doorbell to fit the cord.
Your existing two power wires can provide power to this IP doorbell, so you can install it with a wireless door chime. It will also work with some types of wireless door chimes. It only takes a couple of minutes to install the doorbell and hook up your existing power wires. Connect this doorbell to your home router to use the IP doorbell.
Using the existing wire, you can directly connect your new GBF WIFI doorbell to your existing doorbell power source if the existing doorbell is powered by 12V DC.

The search for a camera doorbell has been on for quite some time now. Since I've been trying a few different products without success, I decided to discontinue them. The problem with most of them is that they are either poorly made, don't have reliable connections, or aren't made effectively. Here My hopes were high specifically due to the fact that it was pretty expensive for a non-brand product. Due to the cons being greater than the pluses for me, I had to return it. As a bonus It is worth noting that the build quality is excellent. It seems to be made of metal, either aluminum or some other type of I like the way it turned out. - The connection through a hardwired Ethernet cable is stable, if you remember disconnect your mobile data. - Setup through the mobile app is simple if you remember to do so. It is good to be able to view pictures via the web interface. When you manage to set up motion alarms through the web interface and reduce the sensitivity, it is most reliable.
+ The response time from when a person presses the doorbell or when movement is detected to when the app sounds is fairly quick. If you set up mail forwarding for an alarm on the web interface, your emails are being delivered very quickly once the Those cons are Please note that When the bell was first set up, I used WiFi. In order to get it to connect to my phone, I had to disconnect my mobile data during configuration. After that, the connection was established. It should be included as part of the instructions. Please note that While I measured more than 100mbs of data speed to the device, I felt that the wifi connection was not reliable. I reset the device and connected via Ethernet, and it worked fine. There are only very few features in the app. A pretty much simple and straight forward way to get notified when someone rings the bell and There is no way to set the alarm from the app or from It is even worse that the web interface, which is required if you want more than just the basic doorbell push alert, only works with an ancient browser, and you need to download an ActiveX control to gain access to it. It is not a good day for Chrome users, Mac users, or even Microsoft Edge users. Technical support has told me that there won't be any changes to this. Please note that There is a lot of difficulty using the web interface and some of the app settings. This is probably because the Chinese translation is so poor. Please note that There is no indication that this particular doorbell is a generic brand (even though it seems to be high quality), as I recently saw the same bell being sold under an entirely different brand name with the exact same app. Despite the efforts and kindness of the tech support staff (and they are nice and helpful, they probably will not have control over the software changes. Please note that Due to my doorbell's inability to support ONVIF and RTSP, I was limited to using it with the app only I wouldn't have gone through with my purchase if that were the case. Considering how much I paid for the device, if all I had was the cloud service, I could just as well have bought Ring which has a much better track record and is easier to use. Technical support explained that the issue is related to firmware and suggested I roll back to an older or more recent update. It appears that the firmware upgrade requires the use of a special software, and I tried everything I could think of but I did not succeed. The issue is that unless they come up with some other alternative, that means that you have to use the same firmware, with no option to update to a newer version, which is a huge issue for me There is no simple way to access security updates and error correction is unavailable. Please note that There was only one password option for the app access, and it was a four digit one. In my opinion, this is a security issue, which makes me worry about any other possible security holes to be found. In spite of the HD picture on the main page and its great look on the web interface, the sub links on the site are poorly done The stream on the mobile app is set to a low quality. It looks better now that I increased the resolution. Currently, Canada provides support by the means of a single individual. His knowledge is excellent but he does not have the time to be available at convenient times, so it is best to use email support most of the time and call him when he is available, which may be at times that If you need help during setup, you need to get in touch with tech support. In spite of the fact that I think the hardware is quite impressive, Though this doorbell is top-notch and has a great deal of potential, it is not yet ready for prime time from the software perspective, and it is about 30% more expensive per door than a comparable, similar.
As much as I wanted to love this product, I also wanted to be able to access it remotely from my phone as an intercom for my front gate. In reality, the product failed to deliver on its promises. With the help of tech support, I managed to get it setup, but there were a lot of issues with communication between the intercom and other devices. The only thing that consistently worked was the camera, which I can access from A few months ago, the call button worked occasionally, but now it does not work The button's intercom function does not appear to be functional, and the button's call button cannot be used to call a device. It is not a product I can recommend until the firmware is updated to.
I am trying to install a doorbell using a As soon as the device starts, I am able to put it in default mode, but entering an username of "admin" and password of "1234" fails to grant We were unable to contact the I know I am out of money at the moment, but I cannot get a new doorbell until I get a new job. It would be great to hear from someone. I just updated I got in touch with customer service shortly after I posted my other review and it sent me the POE adaptor quickly. After I got the doorbell installed and working, I was going to update my review with glowing praise. My only problem is that I have never been able to complete the setup as the default username and password in the manual don't As of this writing, I have emailed and called support multiple times during the months, but I have not received a It seems my client wants beautiful, non-functional furniture and I am stuck with a client who is unhappy The doorbell is functioning. It is a sturdy, straightforward product that is easy to install I would love to recommend it It would be better suited as a door stop rather than a doorbell, however, if it could not be set up and configured.
I live in a foreign country and it is a joy to use this Intercom, I can answer all my doorbells from anywhere using the app. I can answer any door wherever I am using the app. This lock system works great, I use it for the unlocking feature as well as the doorbell. In terms of audio quality, they can hear me clearly and I can hear them as well. There is sometimes an echo of your own voice when you are speaking through the app, but it is minimal. Video is hd quality (720p I think) and night vision works well. My doorbell lost its configuration, so I had to reset it and connect it to the WiFi again, which was hard since the doorbell makes its own WiFi, so after connecting to it, you have to input your home/office wireless credentials, so that the doorbell can Despite the GBF forcing itself to use the 192, it forces itself to be on the X range. I switched my router to the 192 IP address, because the 88 address was no longer valid. In my case, I was using the X range and I was able to access the GBF, and after much trial and error, I managed to set up the hotspot so my Wifi can connect. Customer service is definitely the best part of the GBF Team. I had an excellent experience talking with the Team via email, and I was assisted each step of the way to make my unit work Also, the help I received was to set up the picture and video capture for when a bell is rung.
