Almost a year ago, I bought this unit because it was (and I still believe it to be) the only purchase available that met all the requirements I had A 2 minute video over IP, iPhone notifications, based on IP A three-way audio system with the ability to unlock the door remotely, motion sensor, WiFi/Ethernet options, keypad code entry, optional doorbell, and switches were included. It was delivered quickly. You will find all the cables you need along with a few extras. There is nothing to worry about with it, since it appears solidly constructed and ready for You can make it work as it is even if the metal case could have been a little bigger in order to let the cables in the back of it. After hooking up the 720 HD video source, the signal is clear and sharp. * * * There may be some more modern-style terms that are more accurate Several devices available (The Doorbird), however, I needed a keypad to allow entrance with a numeric code, and the one that included one seemed to be the only one with that feature. The bad part. The software at first was not up to date. The unit frequently disconnected, the audio was choppy, and time synchronization just wouldn't work. After I got in touch with their Canada support site they sent me a firmware update that fixed all my issues To 2 out of 211 They even offered to replace my unit with one with upgraded firmware, after I encountered some difficulties with the upgrade. ), plus the ability to see and talk to visitors from anywhere, receive motion alarm notifications via email or ftp, and even allow entry with a simple numeric code. Someone can access the app with a code and then change the code just in time for the app to no longer work. The most flexible device may not look the most modern, however it is undoubtedly the most durable. It's just a matter of getting the updated.
That's great. I'm very pleased with it. Having a gate 300' from my house required that I be able to see who was there and even call them in so I could see and buzz them in. This would not only let me see and speak with them but would also add video Because I have a network line that runs to it, there are no real issues with the Video quality is good, sound quality is okay, but it does exactly what you need for a low price. My only recommendation would be to add an infrared camera and an upgrade option for a higher quality cam, but in reality it works great as a supplement to my existing What a great idea! Obviously, this is not something that can be installed by the average homeowner. My electrician background gave me an idea of how everything should be hooked up, and once I had it all set up and plugged in, it was no problem. This is the kind of recommendation I would suggest.
I immediately tested it once it was received so I could ensure that it worked. As I look back, it appeared it worked fine at the time.
However, as soon as I was able to install the device at our gate, we ran into a variety of issues. There were many times that I had to talk to their support team and I could never get the software If our phones ring one, it might be us A knock at the door makes you wonder what you are going to get. It may be 5 seconds, or it may be 5 hours. Given that signals must pass through their servers and services, I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere in the middle of those areas. I don't think they will acknowledge that and won't get my money back It seems to be their issue and not mine or the network issue. I have tried other devices and they ring through fine. Now I have a paper weight that costs a lot of money. The following update has been posted A 3rd generation unit is soon to be released and the company is offering to replace my unit. A recent upgrade to the new generation unit and the associated servers should resolve my current problems. Because I really wanted to like the device because it was the best solution for what we needed, I'm hoping it can fix the problems. The unit will arrive soon and I will test it. I will post an update once it arrives and is tested. Due to the company's attempt to fix the issue, I have revised my rating to 2 stars. The following update appears to be current Though I did not receive a new device, the company did roll out a new app and server connections that seem to be solving most of the issues that were plaguing us previously. However, I am still encountering some intermittent problems, but I am not sure if it is the device, the users not pressing the button fully or another problem. As of now, I would say it is probably functioning well enough to actually use it on a regular Throughout this whole process, the company has kept in touch with me on a regular basis to see how things are going. A gate about 200 feet from my house marks the entrance to my yard. GTO powers the gate so I wanted an intercom system that I could use to communicate with someone at the gate and to open the gate. I mean, IP doorbells can do everything. In this particular configuration, I used two cat5e cables one comes from my router to the IP doorbell (with POE), and the other comes from the GTO to the IP doorbell by using the blue and green cables to signal COM and CYCLE. I am able to use it without any problems.
