My job began by upgrading the doorbell transformer to 24 VAC and 40 VA, then replacing one of two ancient, fading doorbells with a DB1C, corresponding with an extender installed behind the exterior wall to provide enough power for the wireless system. There is no signal to the doorbell from the Wi-Fi. I was pleased with the installation process. The doorbell and app came to life, and upon pressing the doorbell, the mechanical chime will play. There are many settings available in the app that can be customized to customize the operation of the doorbell alarm system, which has become a great asset to me. Instructions for using a doorbell are not included anywhere in their manual. In response, they sent basic installation instructions - the information I already had and had already completed - and requested additional information, such as serial and model numbers, as well as my contact information. My response was to send me basic installation steps and links to videos so that I could review the basics once more. In a follow-up email, they requested photos of the wiring for the chime and asked me to measure the current at various points on the doorbell circuit with a voltmeter. My heart aches. I was suggested to wire in a second transformer, and have one doorbell on each of them. NOT AT ALL! In order to delete each device in the app (instead of using the reset button in each doorbell), they said to delete the app. The app was in response to my suggestion that perhaps I had inadvertently selected the wrong chime setting. Since that setting cannot be accessed by the app, it is resetting that setting that will resolve the issue. Well, I did the deletion, and now I'm glad I didn't have to stand out there in the cold and wind again the reinstallation did not require me to reset the doorbell. Each device button prompted the chime after I completed the recording. Yes, that's right. In fact, it has been working fine for a couple of days now. The chime has now failed a second time, but I now know how to solve the problem. Delete means reboot, so I guess deletion means hard drive deletion. It is nice to deal with a company that is attentive and responsive. The information they provided wasn't always useful, but they persisted Ultimately, the correct solution was found as a result of our joint efforts! far as the doorbells and mobile app are concerned I am completely satisfied thus far and would highly recommend the product. I have temporarily set it up in the basement (so I can test it), and so far it seems to be working. The documentation, app, and customer support of EZVIZ are littered with what I'm sure are poor translations. Starting with that, EZVIZ would be wise to invest more in their support for English. Moreover, customer service took two business days to respond to my questions after I sent them (2 on the first day, 3 on the It did not even come close to answering my question it came a little closer to answering it with the second, but it was

The notifications, well, their a mess. Two Android phones (a Samsung and a Motorola) are connected to WiFi and I have set up the app on each of them. Occasionally, the doorbell buttons on two phones will not work together, sometimes only one will, and sometimes 3 nonfiction options will appear, depending on the mode of operation. One of the two or both of them should be 5 minutes later. We hope that it is performing a hidden software update, and everything will improve from now on. While the WiFi signal was very strong, I wasn't aware of motion or the push of the doorbell until about 5 minutes later, even if the doorbell button was pressed. Multiple devices (Android, iPhone, and EZVIZ Studio running on Windows) display the same content in consistent ways.
