The Mars 400S Pro has received a lot of positive feedback, and I agree with them. So, I thought I'd share this carrying case idea: First, do not destroy or dispose of the Mars 400S internal hard plastic container that came within the cardboard box - it is still usable. It'll come in handy at some point. Then go to Amazon and look for the Lykus HC-100. 3510 Hard Case with Customizable Foam Insert (link: 3510 Hard Case with Customizable Foam Insert) It costs $59 at the time of writing. It's a fantastic little case that's extremely tough and well-made. compressed sponge cubes that can be removed to reveal voids into which the hard plastic container that came with the Mars 400S box can be inserted. I've included three photos of the Lykus to help you visualize the concept. There's enough room in the case for batteries, an AC adapter, and whatever else you want to bring. This is far superior to slamming the Mars 400S into a bag or some other improvised container. Oh, wait. It's also improvised.

I expected it to limit my range to less than 400 feet, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it worked flawlessly up to and even slightly beyond 400 feet, though there was some minor disruption beyond that. I am blown away! Also good was the battery life. I managed to get at least one. Each battery lasted 5 hours, but I swapped them out before they died, so they could have lasted even longer. I connect a Panasonic GH5 camera to a Black Magic ATEM Mini switcher with this. In addition, the image quality is superb.

This is a fantastic device. I have an old Arrow Paralinx Plus that costs about twice as much as this one, and the Mars 400S is a far superior product. The ability to attach the transmitter to a hot or cold shoe is extremely useful. I'm also impressed that the receiver can be powered by USB, as my client monitor's gold mount batteries have USB ports. br>I also like how small these are; I can throw them in my camera bag and take them with me wherever I go.

The work flow on the production site is fantastic. It's great not to have to crowd around the cameraman to see the built-in monitor of the camera. One suggestion is to always use the batteries that come with it rather than plugging it into a wall outlet. (We used a V-mount) On our C200 rig, we used a mount to power everything. If you turn off Vmount, things can get a little wonky, but once we figured that out, everything was fine.

The Mars 400s are a favorite of mine. We wanted to improve our video production for our live stream by adding a mobile cam, and the Mars 400s was the right product for us because it's light weight and has a long battery life. Despite the fact that its range is listed as 400 feet line of sight, we've been able to maintain a steady connection to our upstairs studio. Not to mention the video quality, which is comparable to that of our hardwired cameras. It was well worth the money.

The transmission system is fantastic. I already have a teradek bolt system, but I wanted the hollyland's wifi capability. All of the systems are reliable enough to be used on a 10-week episodic television show. A Sony FX9 was used to shoot and transmit the video. Also, a great price point!.
