The direct replacement of the original

hood honewell of the Pileliner family. As they were made from cheap plastic, I removed the old fasteners. This fastener was replaced with this one and it works perfectly. It fit perfectly and was a direct replacement. I also feel this is a heavy-duty material. Cheap plastics should not be used in place of metal. The welding hood that I have is pipelined by Honeywell.

I would love it if there were a way to set the tension so they would not automatically tighten up

The screws and finger nuts are all that are needed. make sure you keep the face shield / welding helmet in place. Now you can enjoy your space without worrying about a stripped out screw obstructing your field of view. No other product will be used by me.

The clothes aren't right

Incorrect threaded shaft length. The threaded shaft is not long enough to go through all the components The two sets I bought were a waste of money. Right now, it would be cheaper to keep both of them than to send them back and forth. I am able to use one set to put on my grinding helmet at least. A total of 4 helmets, each of a different brand, are in my possession. There are 5 different knob sets for Esaub, Sellstrom, Viking, and Lincoln. The knob sets don't fit ANY of them.

I hoped for a better outcome

I think they're just ok. Although they feel great in the hands, I find (on my setup) that the knobs are Just a slight turn tightens it up to all high hell or loosens it up waaay There is a sweet spot to be found, but it is hard to pinpoint. My pair may be the only ones experiencing this issue. As for the original hardware, I would rather just keep it in place and spend the small amount of money replacing them when they break.

It is important that you keep all of the hardware from your previous setup for this to work. There is no complete set of this, just an add-on. While the parts are low quality, they are highly effective.
