I returned home to find my husband wearing it and raving about how comfortable it is; he's a welder and claims it's the best helmet he's ever owned. The level of safety is exceptional. He would strongly advise it, particularly to those who have been in this field for a long time.
After taking my helmet to my welding instructor, he figured out what the problem was with the helmet not staying in the up position, the adjustment knobs on the side can be deceiving as in they have a ferl of tightening completely but they don't, after he made some adjustments, I put the helmet on and made some head harness adjustments, and the helmet stayed up after using for a few days I find the helmet works great and it was worth the money. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you, and I've decided to cancel my return flight.
I believe Amazon's prices are a little high, so do some comparison shopping, but this hood is well worth the money. While the Digital Infinity is a little heavier than the Optrel helmets (which are nice) and Speedglass, it is fast, clear, and comfortable! I've never been flashed while wearing this hood, and I wear it all the time.
I've tried fixed lenses, Lincoln, and SpeedGlass, and this Miller is by far the best and most comfortable of the bunch. Furthermore, the price here is a C-, which is lower than most other places. note$!.
It's a little heavier than my other helmet, but I like the clarity, and the larger view has helped me improve my welding, so it's well worth the money.
This helmet, according to my husband, is "AWESOME. " It's simple to see because of the clear view. I'd buy it again if the price were right.
This welding hood is by far the best I've ever owned; it's crystal clear, and the clear view lens is incredible! X Mode has become my new best friend, and I can't say enough good things about her! A ten out of ten recommendation.
