In terms of lens clarity and qualities of the inside digital features, both cameras are the same. A large part of the difference has to do with As well as offering a larger viewing area and more comfortable headgear, the Infinity offers some advantages as well. While the Elite is similar in functionality to the XO, it has a smaller viewing area and a lighter weight.

What are the possibilities of using a cheater ?

Sure, it can do that. You will also need a lens adaptor with it. A cheater is what I use for overheads

Which type of battery are you using?

You need a CR2450 battery for it. A battery (three volts)

It is okay to wear a shield, however you should replace the helmet as soon as possible
4/5

Having worked in a fabrication shop for close to 5 years now, I am a professional welder. A few months after my Lincoln Viking 3350 died (3 months past the warranty period), my company offered to reimburse me for one. My preference has always been Lincoln hoods, but I went with it anyway. As a result, the screen and shield portion of the Infinity are outstanding. You can easily breathe fresh air around your face even when wearing the shield, since it is spacious, lightweight, and allows you to move around easily. There is a very large and extremely clear screen on this computer. To be honest, I do not like the headgear that comes on this (and all Miller hoods). My trial has lasted a little over a month and I am ready for jury duty You can now mount the Lincoln headgear. After a few weeks of wearing it, the Miller headgear is pinching on my sides and does not lock at the top. For the first couple weeks, the Miller headgear does a good job at distributing weight and will lock at the top when flipped up into rest. It is specifically for this reason that the majority of welders at my job use Miller hoods and have replaced their headgear. I will do the same. There are no external screen protectors, which is a little frustrating because they are curved and proprietary. It is extremely quick for us to get them from our supplier, but for a hobby welder or a home industry worker, I can definitely understand this being a complication. Finally, I recommend that you buy this hood for the shield portion and the screen - it looks great and it works. It would be a good idea to replace the headgear as soon as possible.

This is my fifth helmet, but I had never used a name-brand helmet
4/5

This makes me feel like I have high standards for my helmets. I would give this helmet 5 stars, but it does have a few annoying features that keep it from getting any closer to 5. To begin with, there are ** - This is a great lens. This is a very clear explanation of the concept. I like the ease of use of digital controls* - The flash is detected automatically as soon as the camera detects one! (Did not know that it did this. It's awesome to have a feature like this! )* - Very spacious and great view from the floor to ceiling windows
- While the flip-up lock is sturdy and does not come down without effort despite the weight, there are some cons to consider ** - There is something strange and finicky about head gear. The display slams onto my nose when I flip it down. I cannot get it adjusted solidly to keep that from happening. It also seems that every time you turn it off and on, it has to be re-adjusted. There must be something to do with the weird hinged back on the camera - This helmet is quite heavy! I always feel as if it was rolling down on top of my head. The digital infinity lens is not compatible with any other standard helmet, so I may be able to swap it into one of my cheapies, which is lighter. It feels weird that the lock-up detent is only on the right side of the helmet. I'm worried that a heavy helmet will wear it The digital infinity lens is by far the best I have ever used (even better than the Viking 3350) but I only wish they would do something about the weight and headgear issue. The only good news is it might protect you from a 2x4 hitting you in the face.

There is no comparison to the best
4/5

This helmet replaced a few cheap Harbor models that I had used before. Faster and more clear than the other one. My welding has improved because of a digital infinity hood, and I will continue to buy one.

Hoods for TIG welding are best
5/5

A Lincoln welding hood and a Miller welding hood are my favorites. It is both of them saying that the auto darkening is not working when I am welding pipe with TIG outside. It has literally led to flash burns on both of my hands. My field supervisor loaned me this hood and never had an issue with auto darkening activating while welding TIG, no matter what the amps were or how I moved the torch. It is a solid hood that is built to last There is a great deal of comfort throughout. As well as being very clear and easy to see, it is also very well written. This hood worked more effectively than both of my Viking hoods from Lincoln and even the two welding hoods I borrowed from a fellow Forman the day I was flash burned. The reason I bought one right away on Amazon was exactly this reason. In the event that you weld handrails or any kind of pipes with tig, and you experience problems with the auto darkening function. . . buy this product and you'll no longer have to deal with any issues.

I've never used a lens as clean as this one
5/5

It is an essential piece of equipment for my job, in which I have to weld up to three times per Now that I have had it for about a month, my only regret is putting off buying a quality hood so long. My view is so much clearer than with cheap Chinese auto darkens I have used in the past, and miles better than with Lincoln auto darkens. There is only one real competitor for this hood and that The first time I spent money on it, I was hesitant, but I am glad I did. Those in the welding field who are just starting out, it's well The first thing you should do is purchase a good welding hood, and then begin There will be no other hoods to be used in the future other than this one and the speedglass. In addition, the "x-" The ability to switch to "mode" is essential for those who routinely weld outdoors or in tight spaces. I cannot express the frustration of having an auto darken hood and using it outside on a sunny day just for it to turn into a permanent shade hood from the sun. While you are contorted in a frame, you can be flashed by a piece of tubing blocking the photosensor. As a result of the 'x' The "mode" function is basically an electromagnetic field sensor. Therefore, it will not trigger the darkening when a bright shop light is shining or when the sun is shining, and it can detect Having too many moving parts and adjustments is not my preferred way of doing things. I've gotten used to it, but if I could change just one part, I would.

I am no longer bothered by sore eyes
5/5

Having been a hobby welder for 30 years, I found my eyes getting sore with my first auto darkening helmet I purchased 20 years ago, and that one is now Harbor Freight Vulcan set the standard for cheap helmets going forward, so I upgraded to it, since it had good reviews. Although the cheaper helmets are slower than the expensive ones, I still found my eyes getting painful as I noticed my eyes still ached. Great helmet! I highly recommend it! Switching through the menu is simple, and you can see how much time you spend putting down a bead by looking at the Arc time. This video is a little heavier because of the large screen, but the wide view and phenomenal view of the weld puddle more than make.
