TIG welding is the only type of welding I do, and this hood has everything I was looking for!
I've heard that my grandson can wear masks
This is likely to be the case. 7/8", and I weld all the time with my USMC cap on backwards, and there is plenty of room between the cap and the weld. It should be at least If it fits your head even with a hat on, it will be fine.
Dear buddy, I just wanted to say hi. That's what I think will happen. For what it's worth, I own a small dome myself and it fits almost perfectly. It can be adjusted pretty small too. Hence, I would say that It's super easy to return it if you don't like it.

It's the little things that make you feel like you spent your money wisely. For instance, you do not get a carrying case for this camera, or you do not get a replacement pair of clear lenses Because of the poor design, I ended up duck tapping leather to the bottom of the hood so that I wouldn't get burns on my neck. Your hair is ripped out by the crappy head gear. The lock only locks in one position (all the way back), and the mechanism is flimsy and falls down frequently. You should save your money and get a better hood, I have tried several brands and this is a scam. When you're going to be under this thing for the rest of the day, don't buy something that's going to make you angry.
That's what I like. That's all there is to it. If I'm being completely honest, I believe you are paying for the lens. Use a filter. You may call it whatever you please. My favorite part of the design is the colors. I am Kenevil, the evil one. It has a sort of retro appearance. Using a 3350 series by Lincoln electric, I have several options. It was provided to me as a result of my job. With its sturdy construction and user-friendly design, the 3350 Viking series is a great choice. I feel like this hood is weaker than the previous one. Compared to my Lincoln, I could have bought a better product for the same price. Removing the lense is much easier in this one. It makes my legs tingle like a banger lol
I feel like I'm going to break the brackets (shown in the photo by the two fingers) that hold the lense in place. Also, I feel like the Lincoln series provides me with a greater amount of coverage.
How about overall? What I mean is. What if you wanted to get one as a starter, or maybe as a gift for a welding graduate or hobbyist? I like it. What do we recommend to those who have already tried it and want to move forward? Choosing heavy and costly is the best option. Although it's not my favorite, I still like it. It may seem like a lot of complaints, but I enjoy It's not that bad I just like to act *** * * This update includes My first day at work, I took this with me. Then he gave her a run for her money. If that's the case, the lens is 100% different. There are no problems with my vision no matter where I go. I have a Lincoln lid that has a lense all over the place that is just too dark. This is what I recommend.
Its good points are Controls are clear and easy to understand and settings are very reliable
The downsides Like many helmets, it's powered by an odd coin battery, but it could be a little longer so the bottom of the chin is covered. What I consider to be your biggest flaw is the way you change lenses so frequently. In addition to having to remove the whole darkening unit through the back to replace the front lens, you have to pull out the lens from the front. Unless it actually unclips as it is supposed to, it wouldn't be a big deal at all. These tiny clips will not let go, and you have to use a small screwdriver with great care and forcefulness in order to free them. There is only a matter of time until I break one of the clips. Despite its flaws, the machine works fine for welding. Because the helmet is shorter than I am used to, be careful not to burn your throat area. The ride might be too high or it might just be No matter which way you look at it, the same result will occur.
Updates for the past two weeks are As I've said, I received this and have no complaints, except I received it with no spare outer or inner case - The lenses were odd. I purchased dozens of hoods, and this was the first time I didn't receive any of them. This is not a big issue, since the quality of this hood is the main thing. I loved the digital screen controls that let you change the shade, sensitivity, and delay, as well as grind and weld modes before grinding, and during grinding. This is a sturdy bag, a bit on the heavy side but not too The headgear is comfortable and quite good. The ratchet adjusters are smooth and the area to view is large and a separate area can hold cheater lenses. I give this a score of 8 out of 10. Edits will be made after a short time of here is an A dark line/crack has appeared on the filter that a speaker told me is unsafe to use for the moment. I sent it back so it could be fixed. Since it is too heavy for my neck and it does not cover my face or ears like my old Lincoln, I have decided against getting a different one since it is not worth it to me. Aside from the weight and crack, my original review stands. In spite of its lack of crack, I would still rely on it as my go-to brand. Jackson, thanks for your kind words.
Are you tearing your hair out by the handfuls with the crappy headband on this thing? In fact, yes. As good as it sounds, I can't afford to lose even more hair. This helmet is definitely contributing to my early thinning. Not to mention the fact that I lose a handful of hair each time I (try) to tig weld some piece of garbage together in my awful Instead, I'll save my money, and buy something better (I was expecting the Harbor Freight Auto Darkening Helmet I used to be a giant leap up from the old one). Now that I think about it, I guess I'll go buy 3 or 4 more of those and weld them You know you are a reputable company, Jackson, so fix this garbage. This is unreal.
In the past, I used a cheap HF helmet which would spontaneously flash and cause me problems. This product was purchased when I bought my TIG machine and has worked well ever since. My only complaint is that the strap hurts my head after a while perhaps because I have shaved hair so no padding. The helmet is made of a flexible plastic so I hope it will last a long time. It would probably be easier to solve this if there was a welding hat under the helmet.
Although I think the price is great, I'm very happy with it. A clear view can be seen through the lens. With gloves on, it is easy to operate the controls. As a result, the shell is more flexible, like rubber rather than hard The hard shells found on most hoods do not hold their shape and I think the soft shell would better withstand drops than it. I like the graphics since they are clear and a bit As a whole, this hood is a great functional hood without the high price tag of a Miller or Lincoln. This product is better than the cheap imports you can find on eBay or at Harbor Freight.
This helmet is awesome. This is a far better performer than the older HF one I had. I really like how quickly it darkens and how well it adjusts. My tig welder was able to detect this finely with no problem. The only thing I would have liked is a few of the outer protection screens that you have to order separately, but it is not an issue. In addition to the cool graphics, it is also pretty comfortable to wear. It is not a complaint.
