Blue is the color of the sky
It is clearer than my Optrel, Speed glass, and Miller elite, and I had never been a fan of Lincoln hoods before. It appeared that Lincoln hoods were preferable to Esab clarity to those used by some workers who use them.
I do mig pretty much all the time
There is a cover on it.

My eyes are now clear, but I was blind. It is hard to convey the clarity of the message in words. I am awestruck. Because of the reviews that I had read, I decided to give this product a try after years of using Miller Pro Series daily. This is an incredibly light and comfortable jacket. At first I thought they were exaggerating, but now I think they're quite modest. Having now experienced lighting up, I can now agree with the statement, "it was as if the lights had been turned on". As a welder, I don't like to write reviews, but if you need this, you should read.
In the process of purchasing a new hood, I ended up spending too much time shopping. My decision to go with this one was a good one. Almost 90% of the time, I tig weld thin stainless for 10 hours a day with my hood down. You should definitely make the jump if you are thinking about purchasing this hood. A few pros The lens of a curved lens gives a glare when not looking directly at what you are welding (moving fast does not require you to turn your head). Curved lenses have this characteristic, according to my understanding. As long as you never look away from the arc, this is not a big deal. At first I could see my breath on the touchscreen while the hood was down when it was brand new. During welding, the noise is also noticeable, but not a big deal. Then it got dusty, and the flies ceased to fly. In addition, there will be scratches if you place the external lens face down since it is flush with the body.
Helmet appears to be very nice. For those who can't work with their faces two feet away from a welding torch and who are doing anything that gets hot, this may not be for them. FCAW will warp the front lens if I try welding it and I keep my head about 12 inches above the floor There are 18 inches between us and the floor! It's a pretty good hood, apart from that. I have worked anywhere I could find lenses, but lenses are too expensive at any store I've ever worked at.
want to give it 4 stars but it deserves 5 stars because this hood is truly amazing! I love the true color and the clarity that it provides! The feeling is as if God himself is palming your head like Jordan about to make a One of the issues I have with the lease is that it's somewhat of a fish eye lens and I get a little distortion when I move my head during a welding session. The adjustment period is extremely minimal, there is no need to panic and you simply have to adjust to it. As a whole, this hood is a tit!.
The money this helmet cost is not worth it, since the lenses are shaped like a dome, and you have to buy expensive replacements to fix them. As a result of the tig welding I did, I melted the cover lens, so it's a bad looking helmet, but you could just buy a regular auto-darkening instead.
Since I started using Miller Elite, Digital Elites, I have been very satisfied. When I saw the reviews for this hood, I was intrigued, plus I love the Halo style helmet(long live Halo 3). I was a bit skeptical about the large lens on the outside, but they do last a long time and are easy to clean. What an awesome thing this is. It is nice to see more about the weld because it is blue, and also because you can see more around your weld. One thing my Miller could never do for me was give me enough visibility into the future. The price was well worth it!.
0 out of 5 stars for welding helmets. After having been using the Sentinel for at least 10 months, I can safely say it is a great It was easy to scratch the outer polycarbonate shield. I know I'm not the type to throw my helmet around, but it happens, not a big deal since I still have one yellow and one clear of the four (2/2) that came with the helmet after 10 months of use. These 5 packs should stay with you for quite a while. I am very impressed with the performance and fit on these. With the harness, it is easy to adjust the fit of your helmet, and it holds your head in any position. I do forget that it is there walking around the shop. It is light and comfortable. It does not stick in the air as it would with a standard one and hit everywhere if you are crawling around Simply keep it in a bright room for the battery to stay charged and you are ready to go. Digital devices are easy to set up and manipulate.
The time is here if you have yet to buy a "good" welding helmet. Your welds will improve by 70% or more with this helmet. The helmet is so comfortable on my head that I've forgotten it's there sometimes, I've even caught myself trying to flick it down to strike up as it wasn't on my head at the time. The helmet is like welding in high definition after I swapped from a bad old auto helmet. In the past, I had to shine halogen lights on my work to see where I was going with each welding process. The arc is now about 3 or 4 inches away, and I'm looking at the things 3 or 4 inches away When I was stick welding some panels into a dump truck bed the other night, I saw at least three or four moths die in the direction of a Also, the thing looks awesome as heck, you do not need to be a good welder to make it, and when you mention that you are an astronaut, you will also get all the girls. * If you twist my arm and make me come up with one complaint, it can be a little problematic if there are others welding around you at the same time. In my experience, the helmet will go dim fairly easily, but to be honest, I haven't adjusted the sensitivity. I'm sure that can be fixed. My helmet needs to be upgraded a long time ago. I am pretty mad at myself about that.
