Questions & Answers

Do the lense's characteristics depend on the temperature (weather)?

Having used these lenses when welding 9 chrome in North Dakota at 45 degrees below zero, I can tell you they are extremely durable. are great at what they do

How about color? What color is green, blue, or ?

This depends on what shade of blue you see on the inside of the lens. One shade you see is of a bright blue, while the other shade (this one on the inside of the lens) is a more vibrant green. You get what you order, whether it's what you expected or not. As a welding specialist, I prefer the green tint to the brownish tint (what you see when welding). Nonetheless, I consider them the best lens available on the market.

How does the return policy work for this product?

My book was cracked so I had to return it and receive a refund.

An ArcOne S240-based system The HD version is 11
4/5

This is a good product! I can't think of a reason why ArcOne has It was more important than anything that I post the picture of it, since I wasn't sure I threw the right lense in the cart. Here is a picture that might help!.

You can view the HD version here
5/5

This is the old version I ordered thinking it was the new The HD version was the one I got when I got it. The first thing I did after receiving it was to test There were a lot of complaints about getting flashed in the reviews. So far, the only issue I've come across is that when I first struck an arc it took a little while for it to completely darken. The reason it did that is probably because it needs to charge since it runs on solar power. Once I, the first arc shot up, was in place, I had no problem striking any arcs. The length of this will be determined by how long it lasts.

I viewed the world through my lens, and said "Let First of all, let me say that before using this lens, I was almost against auto lenses
5/5

The main reason I had trouble with the auto lens was because I'd always wear an auto lens helmet, which I found too short for my neck and caused me to burn. My pipeliner fibre metal helmet worked right out of the box with the lens. As a welder, I operated between 50 and 60 degrees It worked perfectly with FCAW at 125 amps, and then I used it at school to weld TIG, from 70 to 175 amps It was amazing that it worked as well with 125 amps. In addition, I welded on friends 6G project using 1/8 6010s and it worked well there, I love the way the lens changes so quickly, doesn't tire my eyes, and works well in a range of welding situations. There is a miller lens that my instructor uses that goes for about $80, and this ($126) is my second choice. I read reviews on the miller, and I saw that people experienced a flashing of the lens after a few months, meaning that they encountered random power failures while It turned out that my instructors' lens began malfunctioning soon after I made the switch. Furthermore, this lens is solar-powered, but the arc that is generated during welding seems to be capable of supplying power to it because I have been using it non-stop for two weeks, 10 hours a day, and I have not charged it. While this lens requires some adjustment, I was able to avoid the need to lower my head, and I did not have to lift my helmet after each pass. I am still trying to get used to them. Overall I think it is a great lens, maybe not suitable for the DYI at first because of the price, but I recommend it for those who can afford In the event that I encounter any problems with the lens, I will update my review. EDIT

Six days per week, I use the Lens, and I do so for 10 minutes each morning My job takes twelve hours a day, and I've been doing it for five years It has been 6 months since I received the Lens, and nothing has gone wrong with it yet. It also doesn't need batteries, which is another huge advantage of this lens. It wouldn't even be worth it to count the number of workers around me who are stuck using the outdated passive lens helmets they used to wear because the battery on their new Vikings or Balders is dead. Not with mine! *Edit It has now been over a year since I got the lens, and I still use it daily Please stop at stop 10 Twelve hours of work a day, five days per week I have been working 7 days a week and have never had any problems at all. EDIT (x3) I have now been using the lens nearly every day for over three years, and I can definitely say it is excellent!.

Switches at a terrible My lights are flashed every time I turn them on
3/5

The lens of this camera is remarkable for its clarity, so I gave it two stars. I was very pleased with it. Its overshadowing effect however is due to the fact that it emerges from a very distinct source of light A dark area appears when striking an arc, and forever after, I am flashed for a split second. I gave it a number of tries to see if it would get better, but I didn't see any improvement. I also agree that the lens is too bright for a 10, it's more like a shade 9 rather than a 10 as others have stated. Considering it is very highly recommended by many in the welding community, I find it strange how it performs so poorly, especially from a safety aspect. I should not need to be flashed constantly when I use it.

I had some problems with my Clarity, as it overheated while using it
3/5

My favorite part of this auto darkening filter is that it is very subtle. There is a definite improvement from the standard green lens found on most welding helmets. With the HD ArcOne lens installed, I believe you are able to better see both the weld area as well as the weld puddles. When it comes to the lens, the biggest advantage is that it's clear when not being used for I unfortunately didn't last more than two weeks with mine. A failure during use of the product is believed to have been caused by an overheating problem. It really is a great lens, and I hope warranty will cover it.

There are high definition images in the video

For 18 years I worked for the union as a boilermaker and this is the clearest welding lens I've ever had and that's a lot to say, trust me, I've worn my share of welding lenses. The boilermaker's bible that I highly recommend to all my brothers!.

View from here is great
4/5

Prior to ordering I read all reviews I could find and discovered that these were not as dark as they were described. My orders were shades 11 and 9. Based on my measurements, shade 9 is the dark end. Therefore, I am lucky to have this working so well for me. I'm in awe of the view. It's a wonderful lens and I would go and buy another right now. Prior to ordering, I didn't realize the package would be labeled HD. There is no marketing speak when it comes to High Definition. I was shocked by how far I had progressed since my old hood. In the off state, the view appears to be very clear, but it is not the result of According to my lux meter, it is 5. The product is similar to a mid range 3, but the weight is noticeably lighter than a typical 4 and 5. I've only got 2 sensors on board, but I haven't been flashed yet. A few of the lenses offered by ArcOne are excellent. The shade specifications seem a bit contradictory to me. It ended up being a lens I really like. All I had to do was order an 11 to get what I wanted.

A HD screen is equipped with it! Lincoln fixed shade helmet from Home Depot was what I used
5/5

It also features an Arc One S540-type display There were no problems with 10 of them. Also, when I saw it, I didn't know it was an HD lens. Although I've noticed the price has gone up since I purchased it, I still think it was a good deal at the time. Although the viewing area of this helmet is small for one of so large, I find it adequate for my needs in spite of its size. As well as using it to weld. Stainless steel wall with a gray shade of 10 has very good clarity even with a dark shade of 030. Due to the fact that I could spot low amp tig welds even with a dark shade, this lens could be used for many different The lens is also almost as thick as a regular glass lens, which is one of my favorite features.
