Questions & Answers

Has anyone used one to defend themselves against a human assailant? What was your experience with it?

I used this one to see how well the spray worked outside, and I only got 2- Before it stopped working (or was empty? ), I got three sprays out of it. It also didn't go as far as it claimed. Now that mine is about to expire, I'm on the lookout for a replacement. Perhaps it isn't as reliable now that it has passed its expiration date? Who knows, but I can't believe I used to feel safe with this on my person. This is the only one I would not buy again.

Is it easy to unlock the lock and spray your attacker if you're in a bad situation, and is it easy to spray yourself accidentally?

Yes, unlocking it is a breeze; All you have to do is slide the tab over. However, I don't think spraying yourself with it would be easy. The tab is small, and I doubt that the contents of your purse would exert enough pressure on it to cause it to move.

What can you do to avoid a discharge that is unintentional? Is there a safety lock on the door? as if it were on a gun?

There is a safety slid to prevent discharge in your purse, bag, or anywhere else. I've been carrying this for a year and it hasn't tripped me up yet.

My home is in the Midwest, where the weather varies dramatically depending on the season. Will these cans explode or discharge if they are left in a hot or cold vehicle?

When storing my SABRE pepper spray, what temperature should I keep it at? NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER br>Never leave your SABRE pepper spray in an area where the temperature is expected to exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit (48 degrees Celsius). 88 degrees Celsius) or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius). Do not keep your SABRE pepper spray in your car because it may leak or burst due to extreme heat or cold.

Prepared
5/5

I recently bought this because my boss wanted me to start working closing shifts, and I figured I could use some extra protection while walking to my car. Well, as luck would have it, the next day I got a flat tire and had to call triple AAA to come tow my car. I had to ride with the stranger for 30 minutes to the nearest tire shop, and I felt much safer knowing I had my pepper spray with me in case the man who came tried to pull any stunts. He turned out to be very nice and friendly, but Ted Bundy was the same way. As a result, I was all set for whatever came my way. I keep it on my keys, and the safety lock hasn't moved on its own in a long time. I haven't had to use it yet, and I don't expect to. Now that I have this pepper spray, I feel secure all of the time. Everyone, stay sexy and avoid being murdered.

It doesn't always work
3/5

Optimist that I am, I bought a few of these. It does work on occasion. Occasionally, instead of spraying as an aerosol, the spray dribbles out onto your hand. Nothing comes out every now and then. I wouldn't put my faith in it because of its inconsistency. I propose that the manufacturer make a small scroll with the word "Boo" come out of the nozzle, since the attacker will most likely laugh at you. That way, if you make enough people laugh, you might be able to get away without having to clean the pepper spray off your hand.

First and foremost, safety! (It's also cute
5/5

) This is a fantastic purchase for ladies and gentlemen who like pink and are looking for some protection. br>br>I bought this for my girlfriend, who takes the metro to and from her university and, as a result, passes through some seedier neighborhoods. In fact, she walks to the metro through a short tunnel that is somewhat hidden from the rest of the public, which makes her feel a little uneasy. However, now that she has this pepper spray, she is more confident in doing so. br>br>We put the product to the test right away after receiving it, and it passed with flying colors. The claimed range is 5,000 feet. I can confirm that the stream was as advertised: powerful and not misty, with minimal blowback. In fact, when we tested it, we didn't notice any. br>br>In addition, the finger grip makes this tool very comfortable to use. While it is a minor detail, it is a welcome addition that may prevent users from accidentally pointing it at themselves in an emergency. br>br>This is one of the better brand pepper sprays, with a high potency and UV marking dye to identify any suspects it was used on. THE BRAND TO PURCHASE! br>br>THE BRAND TO PURCHASE! br>br>THE BRAND TO PURCHASE.

It hurts a lot
5/5

This brand is said to be used by the NYPD, and it's easy to see why. This was given to me as a gift for my significant other. Darleen, you've got yourself a muffin. I sprayed this in the face to test it out before giving it to my girl, and it hurt like hell. I don't think I'd spray it on myself. I've been sprayed with at least four or five different types of mace in my life, but this one was by far the worst; my eyes were watering and I couldn't breathe. Thankfully, my boy Donny was nearby with the hose, but it took me about 10 minutes to open my eyes for more than a few seconds.

The design has been tweaked a little bit
3/5

It's no longer good! I previously bought this model and was very pleased with it. It was simple to grasp with four fingers, allowing for a firm grip on the canister. They've shortened the canister so that it can only hold a "three-minute" charge now. This is a "finger" grip that isn't very secure. The lock used to be a "flip-lock" feature. The unit was protected by a "lid" that prevented you from accidentally turning it on. That is no longer the case. They now have a "slide" at the top that does not provide any protection against accidental release. Because this device is designed to be attached to a key ring and carried in a woman's purse, it's very easy to accidentally flip the switch on. I purchased a few and will be returning them!.

That's not good
3/5

Regardless of what the other reviewers had to say, Lock sucks. With all of the positive feedback, I was hoping for something special. And there didn't appear to be any issues when I first got it. When I put my keys in my school backpack, the lock would occasionally unlock, but this didn't happen very often. Then it occurred to me that I should put it to the test at least once. It worked well and had a good spray with a long radius when I tested it. HOWEVER! Since then, I've been having issues with the lock. Now, every time I take it out of my backpack, I have to double-check that it's locked because it's not always the case. Worse, it occasionally leaks a small amount right under the spout, which I have to clean with a tissue. Then, last week, my brother decided to put it to the test, and the spray failed miserably! Rather than the spray it had been before, it was more like a small stream that rushed downward quickly and without much force. I keep it in my bag, but I'm not sure it'll be useful if I need it. Maybe I got a bad one, but MAKE SURE YOU TEST YOURS BECAUSE IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU AS WELL. The lock, in particular, is extremely shoddy.

There is only one blind mouse
5/5

I can't believe we live in a time when carrying something like this is considered a NECESSITY. I wear it on a wrist lanyard along with my whistle, personal alarm, and small tactical flashlight whenever I leave the house. I keep this separate from my keys in case I run into a particularly bad person; it gives me a sense of security, along with my retractable baton, which I keep in my purse. I hope I'll never need to use it. I've watched the video, which provides helpful tips on what to do and what not to do, and I've practiced holding it in my hand, which feels good.

After a particularly unpleasant encounter, I decided to purchase for protection
4/5

Unfortunately, after a very unpleasant and frightening encounter with a homeless person who had blocked my car in, I had no choice but to purchase this item. I was unharmed, but a little unsettled. Thankfully, I have not had to use this product; however, I purchased the two-pack so that I can keep one in my purse and the other next to my bed. However, there is a word of caution. I had an asthma attack in the middle of the night and grabbed this item instead of my inhaler, and it felt exactly the same. Fortunately, I figured it out before disaster struck, but keep the two items separate to avoid making a mistake.
