I was at a gas station a few nights ago when two thugs approached me and demanded money. After I told them I didn't have any, one of them clenched his fist and punched me. As a result of my own self-discipline, As a result of my self-defense training, I was able to deflect his punch. I then took a step back and sprayed a few times at his face, which was almost at point blank range. He screamed and his accomplice ran away, leaving him behind. The gas station clerk claims that he has never seen these thugs before and hopes that he will never see them again. By the way, the gas station is in a "Safe Neighborhood," which serves as a reminder to never let your guard down.
Someone made the decision. Today, I was on the verge of using it. Someone decided that today was going to be a day of road rage, so they tried to intentionally hit us with their car. When I went into a gas station where I usually go, they came to a halt and attempted to confront me before I could enter the convenience store. The person, who was about 6 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier than me, was enraged and threateningly approaching me. I yelled back, back, back at him, which caused him to pause and come to a complete stop. In front of his girlfriend, who was hurling f bombs and gay epithets at him, he pretended to be tough. He then taunted me by saying, "Go ahead and spray me," but he didn't move any closer. I then had the opportunity to call 911, prompting him to get into his car and drive away.
Rather than using a spray, I recommend using a gel. It is more secure to use because there is a lower risk of blowout. You're staring right back at yourself. The gel emits a "gooey" stream that adheres to the assailant. There is, however, a better canister with a flip-top lid. a cover that closes and stays closed until needed A lever on this canister must be swung to the right and then pushed down. Some claim that the swing lever in your pocket/purse can be moved to an "armed" position.
However, because my first Sabre Red is a spray rather than a gel, it is easier for me to hold and spray. My first purchase was a narrow straight cylinder can (approximately the same size). It's simply faster to hold and flick to the on position in a fraction of a second. I prefer the gel squirt, but the old small thin can was easier to handle in one hand, and I adore Sabre Red products. They're designed and manufactured in the United States of America. I think they're a great deal, and there are plenty of safety videos on the Sabre Red website to watch. I think this is a great company with a great product, and I buy Sabre Red because I prefer to carry a non-lethal weapon. weapons of mass destruction I've never needed to use any of my sprays, but I almost always keep one of the three on me as a precaution. in case something goes wrong.
This pepper spray is one of my favorites! My office was broken into about three weeks ago (not for the first time, mind you), and I couldn't take it any longer, so I bought this pepper spray to keep with my keys on my lanyard! I haven't had to use it yet, so I'm not sure how powerful it is, but I do like how you can make it longer or shorter, and the spray stays closed but is easily accessible if needed! I liked that I could get it in black as well, so it would be less noticeable at work!.
Because crime has been on the rise in my neighborhood, I purchased this for protection. A lot of people have been having problems, especially at night. If someone were to say, "Break in," it makes me feel safer. br>br>At the same time, I don't carry it around with me because I'm still looking for a good way to keep it from accidentally spraying. The system where it slides to the side and presses down is very loose, and it appears to be designed that way rather than me receiving a faulty product. It would probably go off in my pocket or purse, I'm sure.
My granddaughter is 23 years old and works two jobs in addition to attending school full-time. That means she spends the entire day alone zipping around town. Earlier this year, she was confronted in a parking lot during the day. Fortunately, she had a cup of steaming coffee in each hand, and the men (there were two of them) were one in front of her and the other behind her. She dashed back into the store, flinging a cup of coffee in the face of the man behind her. Her coffee was replaced, and she was escorted to her car by Target employees. With one of these attached to her keyring, we both feel more at ease. Hopefully, she will not require its use.
Thank you to whoever devised this gel-based version! I had some nefarious white supremacists who were also drug addicts. On a long-ago paper route, I was attacked by dealers. My pepper spray didn't seem to work as well as I had hoped. The thieves/addicts, on the other hand, backed off. It didn't affect me in any way. However, with the introduction of gel spray, the negative effects are no longer a concern. The attacking monsters are only weakened by them.
