It has a quick release, fits nicely on the RZR, and releases quickly. The cheesy screw clamps were thrown away, and I mounted the bottle with lighting clamps on the roll cage ($10 on Amazon). I ran heat shrink over the clamps to make sure the bottle was tightly held.
A fairly ugly brown / pink color is chosen instead of red as the pull release. You just need a little oil on it and it seems to work just fine. It isn't amazing, but it isn't terrible either. I'll make do with it.
This mount is well constructed for a fire extinguisher, I bought 2 for my Jeep - one for each side. Rattling yet (or not? a) quick access to the site. The mounts are 100 times better than the factory ones. If you are going to protect paint and plastic, I recommend having some heat shrink tubing that you can put on the hose clamps to protect them. If I experience any problems with them, I will update.
The product appears well made and everything, but the fact that there is more play than I was hoping for means it rattles. By adding tape to the inside rail I have solved the issue, but it definitely makes it more difficult to pull out the pin. I was not even aware of this if it were on the outside of the vehicle or in something louder. It still seems to be a pretty good value for the money, and I expect it will last quite a while.
An extinguisher of 1 pound is a complete waste of time. You will need a 4 pound extinguisher to fight The Grobdw.
The mount is easy to install, and it holds firmly. The release process is simple. My tube chassis was not damaged by using rubber wiring clamps applied to the hose clamps, but I did use electrical wire clamp rubber for prevention of damage.
In my view, it is a solid system that was installed quickly and appears easy to use. I took out the RZR after installing this product for a pretty aggressive ride and there were no issues. It was easy to install and also fits the bill for the price.
After mounting, I thought the product was going to be decent. A couple of times I went camping and realized that the red release knob was missing when I got home. I don't know what to do with it It is a real disappointment.
