Regarding the chrome version, its visual effects may be superior, particularly in direct sunlight, but different people will have different color preferences, so keep that in mind.
Hello, the length is approximately 14 cm (5. The hole diameter is 0.51 inch, and the length is 51 inches. 8cm (0. 31 inch). Please be aware of this. Thanks!
This mount is designed to be used with large adjustable hose clamps to attach to a roll bar. However, there are two holes in the "base" of the unit that you could use to mount it to any surface with screws. In terms of extinguisher size, I'm using a 2 pound bottle that the manufacturer claims can support up to 2 people. Bottles weighing 5 pounds A 5 pound bottle would be far too large, especially when traveling on rough roads, based on the material and how it is connected. The two connection points would be unable to withstand the dynamic stresses for an extended period of time.
Yes, bolts can be used to secure this. Bolts up to 5/16" (8mm) in diameter can be used in the hole.

In my 1993 Miata, I used it on the rollbar. To prevent the powder coating on the roll bar from being ruined, place painters tape between the hose clamps and the bar. I had to purchase my own clamps because the supplied ones were too small for the roll bar. When I drive, it doesn't rattle around, and dropping the fire extinguisher is as simple as pulling one knob. For my track days, it's ideal. I've only had it for two months, so I can't comment on how well it holds up over time.
Does exactly what you'd expect it to do: it safely holds the fire extinguisher. It does have some movement, so I'm hoping I won't hear it rattle.
I bought three of these mounts in total. They have a good foundation. The red quick release pull handle, on the other hand, is loose and must be tightened before use. One of my mounts became loose and fell out, so I had to return it. Because the second and third mounts were falling out, I had to tighten them. Overall, the mount is worthwhile to purchase as long as the screw portion of the red pull knob is tightened.
I used it to mount a fire extinguisher in my JKU, and it worked perfectly.
Purchase this before spending well over twice as much on a name brand; they are, in my opinion, comparable. br>In my Jeep, I have the name brand, and in my boat, I have this one. It's taken a lot more abuse than the name brand and still looks great. br>br>I strongly advise you to save the money and get this instead of the name brand.
I used metal clamps that were permanently attached to the work surface.
Now that these are mounted, I have 25 hours on my RZR. It appears to be in good condition. I did, as other reviewers suggested, loctite all threaded hardware. Definitely a good investment.
