There is a typo there, this is NOT hard-wired to your house, it allows you to plug into your ordinary 9-volt battery Batteries are 12 volts.
It is common to see RV's with unconditioned CO detectors that are not temperature-controlled. Using it in a RV would not be a good idea.
I appreciate the question you asked. All of our alarms are designed to be used inside the home, in the living area. It would be inconsistent with most homes to have a temperature below 40 or above 100. As a result, if you are using it in a camper, a trailer, etc., it is best to keep it at home when the camper or trailer is in storage. Sensors, components and systems can be harmed by extreme temperatures that persist for long periods of time Life of a battery.
I am not sure whether I purchased only the brk co 250 or

THE FIRST ALERT IS NOT MAKING THIS! A false description has been given. I strongly urge you not to.
The detector is to replace the one in the RV that was damaged by carbon monoxide. In research to get an alternative to the model I had, I stumbled across this version in the RV forums. Instead of spending over $70, I decided to look at other models. Although this necklace is smaller than what we had in size, I prefer the smaller size. Since the battery was already installed, I only had to pull back the protective plastic strip, and I was able to use it As far as I can tell, everything seems to be working well after I pressed the test button. In the future, I will use this instead of my old one. This is a great price for Amazon, I am glad they offer them.
I save time and money by not having to drill another hole in the wall by using this detector, which matches the mounting screw pattern of the unit I am replacing. In particular, this unit has a low decibel rating of 85. You don't have to worry about being woken up if you're in another room since it's not as loud as most now for sale. Its noise level is not as loud as units from previous years, but it provides hearing protection. There is no way for me to know what they think. As a result of traveling on the subway to and from work, you might suffer from more hearing damage than a false alarm every now and then. You want an alarm that is loud enough to get your attention if a real one is going off. Anyone who knows of a unit louder than 85 dB is more than welcome to.
Apparently, I neglected to read the description because it clearly states that it is battery-operated and must be installed. There appears to be another brand involved that is not First Alert. I have never made so many mistakes on a single purchase and think the descriptions and/or other information may have been.
We are thankful for the existence of the same model, as the screw holes can be reused. The new alarm does not come with the warning sticker that tells people what they should do when the alarm sounds, which is a big disappointment. It should be stuck to the side of your alarm system. The alarm is also missing the sticker that goes inside the unit to tell people what the number of beeps means. As a result, the alarm is uninformative and people will not know what the beeps mean and what they should do without these stickers. Not very useful. Unless tenants actually take the time to unscrew the whole thing so they can look at the backs of it for instructions, we cannot expect them to do so. Taking the alarm off should not be necessary. It was only because my husband and I had those stickers that I realized it was end of life and not CO when the alarm went off for us. It never occurred to me that I could use screwdrivers to take the alarm off. If an emergency occurs, people shouldn't be required to have screw drivers on hand. Please send us the missing stickers that instruct how to operate the screwdriver.
Even though I hope the alarm never goes off, I really like the fact that there are multiple alerts (sounds and lights) throughout the system based on different issues (low battery, I found the installation process to be very straightforward. As for the warranty, it is a great 10 year warranty.
Detectors for carbon monoxide have been delivered to me. As I installed the unit, I followed the directions to test it. The battery test appeared to be fine, but next came the one beep per minute that indicates that the battery needs to be replaced. In the meantime, I took the battery out and reinserted it, and it kept beeping continuously I was disappointed that I had to buy new batteries right from the start.
We purchased a replacement for our existing camper so it was great to get the exact same model.
